Just dropped $10 on Linus to win the Vezina. Fan Duel has him at +1500.

Couldn’t pass up those odds. That’s good value IMHO.

I hope I didn’t jinx him….
LOL, and as soon as I posted this, Fan Duel adjusted him down to +500 and he’s now the favorite. They must have someone monitoring this board! If so, here’s all I have to say…..Screw you, Fan Duel. Your odds suck and I hope I make you pay for this drastic oversight….

If the Bruins wins the cup this year, Ullmark would be the first swedish goalie to win the cup. 3rds & 2nds included. That would be so cool!

Did you get the bet in before the odds shifted? If so you should be good, no?

i thought it was an odd signing at the time, since the expectation seemed to be tuukka returning to play.
obviously nobody knew the odds of tuukka returning were as low as they were - at least nobody outside
the organization who lacked medical info/rehab details/his likelihood of returning to form.

present day, we are blessed to have this guy, who looks like a legit top 10 goaltender. in buffalo he had
a lot of injury issues, along with being on a disaster of a team. but the talent was certainly evident. one
former goalie who knew ullmark well said (at the time of the signing) that the only concern was #35's mediocre
work ethic. but it's hard to come to this organization and not put in the work - the best players all bust their
nuts every shift. credit to goalie bob, too, for helping ullmark tweak his game. but ultimately, it's linus who
has put in the work and is reaping the benefits (along with the team, and us as fans).

Good choice. I read your post about it the other night but the thing might get you is the point in the season where Swayman gets hot
Sure. A lot can happen. That’s why they call it gambling. Hellebuyck has been on fire as well. But 15-1 odds was too good to pass up. Worth a tenner IMHO.

League Average .905

Linus .939

:bow::bow:

Based on his career numbers it's incredible what he is doing this season. I'm hoping he is a late bloomer and can continue being so dominant. Yes, the Bs have great D in front of him, however much of this season they didn't have a couple very key d-men in the lineup. Ullmark has made a good number of highlight reel saves.

.939 SV%
even strength .946 SV% -- basically impossible to get the puck past him 5 on 5.
1.82 GAA

Simply stupid numbers. Throw in the fact that he is doing this at a time in which the team has been learning a new system under a new coach, where there will be more mistakes and defensive breakdowns than normal.

He’s playing out of his mind.

Things are so fluid sometimes year to year with goalies.

I distinctly remember Rask winning the job in 2010 and Thomas entering the 2011 season as 1B.

Many pegged Ullmark as the piece to move out this past off season in order to fit everyone else in under the cap.

He looks like tremendous value right now.

has Ullmark identified what exactly he has worked on to bring his game to the level it is now? Or anyone here who actually understand the goaltending position able to share what is the biggest change is his style that has raised his level of play this much?

From all I know about goaltending, looks to me like he's stopping the puck more often this year.

Confidence could be a factor.
