I'm still very much enjoying it, but if I don't wear my blue underwear the Rangers are 100% losing this series.
I tell myself “what I do has nothing to do with the Rangers winning” and yet I still try and do the same things as days they win.

Edit:
For instance Ivre been using this mug since the first series.

I couldn't believe how gassed Stamkos looked in that interview in between 2nd and 3rd period. We got em on the ropes boys. Gotta get at least a split in Tampa. If they are this tired with all that rest after 2 games, we can't make it easier on them. Gallant is making Cooper look for answers and it doesn't look like he's finding them.

That’s what Kakko will look like in 40 years when they have him on during a broadcast.

I make pops crack up all the time when I call and talk like Kakko shit talking Jack Hughes during the PO's:

"Hey Jack, it's so nice living lower easht side penthouse and playing the playoff hockey games and looking like a total beasht. How is the New Jersey?"

Yeah and he had only played 9 1/2 minutes after 2 periods...

I would not allow putting a goalie back in after the icing.
No you shouldn't. I wonder how many instances it has happened in. League needs to change that.
We had the puck and the bolts were chasing us around the ice. Good recipe to stay out of the box.

That call on Reaves was garbage
Maroon had no intention of fighting Reaves, he did his job. It better not work again though.
An Isles fan was recently bitching about our goal song. I had to remind him that this used to be theirs.

Rangers and Stars have the best goal songs in the league.
What we are witnessing is special. The whole season has been special. But this is on a level I never seen from the Rangers and never thought I'd ever see. 94 was special of course but even this team is doing things that team didn't do in the playoffs, its like the anti-thesis of that 94 team that had its youth gutted to add veterans near the end of their careers. This team is full of its youth contributing huge, with more on the way. I don't know how it ends but it's an amazing ride. I told my kids, my son is the same exact age I was in 94 when they won the Cup, I told them to enjoy this and live in it, because it's rare and there's no telling if it will happen again. If this team doesn't win the Cup, will we still not remember this as a magical run? I think I'll always look back on it as one of the best times I ever had as a Rangers fan and hockey fan in general. And for me the struggle to even watch some of the games I'll remember. I couldn't even watch the games live the first two and a half months of the season because I was away. Now if they get to the Final I'll have to figure out a way to watch it because ill be away right smack in the Cup Final, hopefully it would go to the 1st week of July when I'm back home. It's like I have to earn the right just to watch it LOL. What a ride. Nothing is over yet. But man this is wild.
Way too many people get caught in the Cup or it's a failure mentality. 2012 - 2015 was a great run and made for some memorable nights even though they didn't win it all.
Every year it’s said you need to get hot at the right time and a bit of luck to win the Cup. Well here we are.
Reminding me of the 2018 Blues a little, but I think people were high on them prior to the season.

Anyways masterclass 2nd period. Other then the opening and closing salvos Tampa had nothing. Rangers controlled everything in between.

This team is scorching hot right now. I would be ecstatic if they somehow gutted out a close win tomorrow.

The good:
First line. Mika flying all over the ice. Shooting, making great passes. Vasi made a tremendous save on a Kreider PP tip off a perfect Mika pass.
3rd line: Playing with great confidence, creating scoring cnace after chance, good in their own end as well.
4th line: Motte showing great quickness and being an absolute puck hound.

Adam Fox: Absolutely causing chaos for Tampa when he has possession on the o-zone. Absolutely dominant performance.
Lindgren bringing his A game.
Trouba was great tonight. Made so many good plays in the D zone. Almost took Cirellis head off with a clean hit in the third. Ferraro saw it coming and said "Lookout!"...
KAM. Great skater, can cover ground and take away space quickly.

Igor: Made the big saves when we needed them.

Room for improvement:

2nd line: Copp really had a tough night. That 3 on 1 where we didn't even get a sog.....ooofff...

Braun/Schneider. I'm worried about them in Tampa.

Goodrow: Looks like he's laboring out there. Probably playing at 60-70%?

I thought Tampa would come out with a bigger push in this one. Like Hank was saying in the post game, they seemed tired, which is weird given how much time off they had after their last series.

Guys… not only is Henrik a beast good luck charm, but we fed him at like 12:30am and 5am and he’s been sleeping … like a baby? … every night so far. Who is this kid?
Oh young Loki. Enjoy these first few days while they last. The chaos is lurking right around the corner, don’t you worry about that.

One of the more underrated parts of the game is when they played Stray From the Path between plays. Incredible heavy band.

Its mostly our guys dogging him. Love to see it.
PIt lost in the first round not second. Carolina could have easily destroyed Pit.

bern is being proven right
need to run a deep team
necessitates youth for both energy and to be cap compliant
lol. Really? We need depth. Thanks for telling us that. None of us could have figured it out. What' will you tell us next? The strategy to win games is to outscore the opponent?

The Carolina heavy forecheck has provided the Rangers with the recipe for breaking out against Tampa.

The fact that they have a half a second more time as Tampa is slower on their forecheck (thus far) is allowing the Rangers more time to process and not make rushed decisions about where to go with the puck.

Its allowing the team to break out with speed AND support creating real problems for the Tampa D that while big, are not very fleet of foot.

If they can keep putting Tampa on their heels, we should win this series.

We may be 2-5 on the road, but those were MUST have wins and we won. We know how to play on the road. Should we head to Tampa with that must win mindset, I like our chances to at the very least split.
Idk if the recipe is the same, but it has made them more responsible and stronger along the boards, trapping the puck, pushing it up ice or flipping/chipping it out when there's danger.

Every year it’s said you need to get hot at the right time and a bit of luck to win the Cup. Well here we are.

And that's the thing every year the cup winner beats teams that had significant injuries and were likely healthier but for some reason the talking points were as if the Rangers were unique in this regard.

Kaapo's "whole city is watching" in the very end of his clip somehow gives me some Naked City vibes... Wow, it's a good one.
Wow! I’m looking forward to watching it now.
I watched the MSG Post Game Show right after the game but didn’t watch anything else.
Just waited fior all the clips to be put up so I could post them, then went to bed.
