You can see it all over his face and body language. He is a frustrated kid who has now been caught up to in skill level. He appears to be frustrated and sulking. You can see it clear as day. Especially since his last demotion. Lias checked out.

I watched the Pack a lot more the previous years but I havent caught too many games this year. Just highlights.

Yeah, blame Quinn for Andersson being a crap player who hasn't looked all that good since he was drafted.
I'm going to apportion a significant amount of blame towards a coach who through blatant and admitted favoritism caused a toxic situation with one of our top prospects which destroyed the realationship between the player and the team.

And it would be one thing if the player who the coach played favorites with and is held up as the gold standard in coachability and doing the right things on the ice was a player who had good impacts and drove the team forward. Instead it is a talented prospect that has looked lost since he stepped on NHL ice and if anything only has gotten worse ever since. If he is doing the things the coach wants him to do, the coach obviously has no idea what things a player should do on the ice.

I can guarantee you that if Lias Andersson was "Larry Andersen" from Thunder Bay you would not be posting this nonsense.

Not sure if you're trolling or if you're just mentally handicapped. I'm going ahead and assuming the latter since it best fits your posting history.

Sorry for being short with you, but I would advise you not going into topics that are above your mental faculties.

To be honest, I'd have to have a certain level of thought for you to get offended at your alleged "shortness" with me. As it doesn't come close to reaching that level, I don't require an apology.

With that said, your reply basically indicated that I am absolutely correct and the only reason you actually care about this is because it involves a crappy Swedish player. If it was some random crappy Canadian or crappy American, you would be posting something different. So, in a certain roundabout way, thank you for confirming that.

Honest opinion: Those of you who are pissed at Lias for asking for a trade, needs to just quit it. He is not mandated by morals to remain with the organization if he does not want to. Asking for a trade to save his career is the least he can do to protect himself from a decay into nothingness if he feels it might become nothing.

It's not like he wa a stray dog picked up at the park is it? He would have been drafted by any number of clubs. It doesn't work out here. Fine, that's it, let the player leave.

Pretty sure most are ok with the idea of asking for a trade. Most are not ok with just up and leaving, putting the team in a tougher spot.

you are right going home and demanding a trade was literally the least he could do...and certainly easier than playing better and actually earning more time. sorry i forgot pReSeAsOn

Wasted pick. Always draft BPA and none of this character bull****.
who was BPA at 7? Mitts? We'd be tearing him apart right now too. Vilardi? This sub would have had a meltdown after his back injury, it looked like he might never make it to the NHL for a while there. Crappy draft, crappy spot to be drafting.

I mean, you're not wrong, here. I don't see a single TRUE NHL-level skill in him. I see a bunch of AAAA level skills. Sometimes those guys who can do everything at a AAAA level can make it.
He's definitely got NHL size and strength. His shot is also NHL level. The problem is he never seems to find himself in a position to use it.

His skating was always going to be an issue, people just hoped he had the hockey IQ to make up for it

And thus far he hasn’t.

I had been saying for a while he would make a better wing, and Chytil a center.

I’d be up to trade him for another struggling 2017 prospect like Tolvanen, but I worry Quinn will not like a player like Tolvanen
His hockey iq is unknown to me, but he's looked slow hockey sense wise. He's cautious, reads the play well on the back check. But his issue is kinda exactly what David Quinn says it is. He's slow to go from play to play. He skates fine but it takes him a minute to figure out where to skate to. He usually makes the right choice but he's slow in getting there. Some of that is probably confidence but some of that is probably just imhis innate speed at which he processes things.
