he absolutely isnt the 2nd best player. hes is not good defensively whatsoever, routinely blows the zone looking for odd man rushes and scores half (HALF) of his points on the PP lol.
Is Crosby’s 120 point season invalid then? 61 of his 120 were PP with waaay more opportunities

I always maintained that McDavid is a GOAT level player (since 2018 that is) and dissmised any fan saying that MacKinnon or Makar were better than McDavid.

MacKinnon currently has 90 pts in 59 games so 1.53 PPG, while Draisaitl has 106 pts in 69 games, good for 1.53PPG (same as MacKinnon) while playing with a top 3 player of all time that is having a season for the ages.

There is absolutely no way Draisatl would produce the same on any other team. He still a top player, but simply not the "2nd best player" in the game.
Draisaitl 726 points in 628 games Mackinnon738pts in 697games 12 less points in 59 less gamesDraisaitl also plays 2nd C Mackinnon gets 1st line all the time and Drai has110 pts

They are extremely good but playing with McDavid obviously translates to more points for a player. Ryan freaking Nugent-Opkins has more PP points than Kucherov and Pastrnak.

Anyway, Mack is probably more content with his Stanley Cup ring thay putting 10 more pts in a retular season.
Nugent-Hopkins is actually an insanely effective player on the PP. You definitely notice when he's out of the lineup.

He's literally the Lynch pin of the Oilers powerplay.

If you take away either McDavid or Draisaitl scoring in the PP drops, but it drops like 30% more if you remove Nuge instead.

because it felt suitable to bring up given what the person I replied to said?
I mean it was pretty obvious. was this a question you really had to ask?
I wouldn't call that crying either. why are the leafs even brought up in a Edmonton thread anyway?

Don't you think it's odd to say this, when you said this in the McDavid topic?
he took losing the Hart and Lindsay to Matthews personal

? lol no, it was more of a quote from The Last Dance. but I mean look at what he's doing. it's almost like he took losing those trophies personal using it as motivation
I'm fairly neutral towards all teams in here man, Im prob hardest on my own team

Obviously all players will produce more when playing with other great players. The fact that McDavid is by far the best offensive player in the game means that his teammates benefit the most. It’s not a difficult concept.
So the two goals last night by Nuge were a product of McDavid right those great setups McDavid fed him

MacKinnon can only hear half of what you say because he as his Stanley Cup ring plugged in one of his ears.

Evaluating him comes down to how much you think McDavid impacts his game.

Draisaitl on another team is not putting up 110 in 70 (128-point pace). This would imply McDavid has no impact on his performance and that's just false. McDavid is a generational player, he will bring everyone up with him, especially those on the 1st PP unit.

However, I still think Drai is class and would put 100-point seasons away from McDavid. He is talented enough to do that. That's nothing to scoff at and puts him up there with the best after McDavid.

I don't know how anyone can watch Leon play and have this opinion. Dude is clearly a monster in the offensive zone. Elite. Passes the ever living f*** out of the eye test. Also scores 110 points regularly. Checks out. Maybe he's just really good.
Junior B level skating tho.

My guy, if this was true the Oilers wouldn't have needed to trade Kassain, Pulju, or another poor preforming winger the last 8 years....

also not you, but Leaf fans and radio personalities (hyper, Bourne, SDPN etc...) in breath use McDavid and Drai being on the same team and playing together to knock them but don't have the same opinion with Matthews/Marner.

No, that makes no sense. You're math doesn't add up, not even close.
My math adds up perfectly. After all I'm using your flawed logic. With McDavid 5 on 5 the numbers you suggested calculates to about 165 points . Without McDavid it comes to 85 points am I right? So which boat do you float on ? Can't have one without the other....😄
