Pick up a dumbbell, Mitch. No professional athlete should have an upper body like that, no matter how much skill they have.

Matthews was bad again tonight.Wow….
You just tried making 100 excuses for Matthews by blaming nylander, Rielly, Marner, the bench itself, domi
You didn’t mention that for 60 minutes he was a corpse skating. Or the fact that with 30 seconds left rielly Marner blew the zone because he had total control of the puck and fumbled the puck like a rookie which was a turnover. Or the fact that he tried deferring to rielly instead of shooting
Matthews could commit murder and you’d be the first one saying he didn’t
Sitting Matthews would be incredibly stupid
You keep playing him until he figures it outWell what do you do with him then?
He could be nursing something so he should sit, but if he’s not he’s been playing half-ass hockey for almost a month now. He needs a firm talking to from someone he respects at the very least.
I agree, Mitch and Bunts were giving up good chances hand over fist back in the Hart year, during Matthews March to 60. I don't recall if it cost the team any points but it's not beyond the realm of possibility that it did.Under rated comment.
Lots of players look like thatPick up a dumbbell, Mitch. No professional athlete should have an upper body like that, no matter how much skill they have.
They need to fly the Biebs up from LAWell what do you do with him then?

I don't know what happened to that guy. He was good defensively and even so-so offensively, and now he gets a new contract and he can't do EITHER?Time to end the Kampf Era. Previous and current GM guessed wrong on him being a staple bottom 6 guy. He looks like he skipped his prime and went straight to being 35 years old
0.925 save percentage tonight. If you can't win with that, you don't deserve to.And you guys wonder why I'm concerned about the goaltending.
Marner was dancing when there was acres of open ice, but when they clamped down they weren’t doing much. Even Knies was flying around in the first two periods.Awesome game by Marner… however, despite Mitch scoring 4 goals, it was Joe Woll winning the game for us.
He’s a shootout stud.
Maybe so, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. It's not hard to put on some muscle. These guys can't devote 4 hours to the gym each week and eat properly?Lots of players look like that

Then find a new hobby. Not even happy when I should be.
Good game by Marner and Woll.
Pierre Engvall happened to him... that's how he got his contract. He was very good for his position and pay before this year... I really have no idea what's happened to him.. but we certainly should move on if we can.

You are probably correct, one of those guys who needs the right players beside him.Pierre Engvall happened to him... that's how he got his contract.
Mitch always defers to Matthews, he’s always looking for him. He doesn’t do that so much with JT. When it’s working, it’s awesome, but Mitch needs to be more selfish, when he has looked to shoot, the balance is there. This year I think he was on pace for his lowest shot total.I agree, Mitch and Bunts were giving up good chances hand over fist back in the Hart year, during Matthews March to 60. He is, and within a few weeks they will be neck and neck with Boston and Florida at the top of the division because they have a very generous schedule for the next while. But they still have to sort out the bottom two lines and get a healthy defense in order to figure out where changes have to be made. Basically, a work in progress, but it's a lot easier to do that work when you sitting at or near the top of your division. For all of the complaining people are doing about the OT/shootout points, these are useful points at this time of year. He's right.
