It sure is sweet watching our defense core stymie the Habs so effectively. Brodie, Holl, Muzzin, and Bogosian added in just two years, what an incredible retool of the defense. And there's three cup rings in that group too, terrific. It sure is funny seeing people clinging to the narrative that our defense isn't good. Open your eyes dummies, Leafs D is fantastic.

Watching Jake Muzzin play playoff hockey is a treat.

Close it out Thursday and don't go back to Montreal where they'll have fans.

Leafs and Jets should be really good

We’ve seen lots of teams up 3-1 lose a series, and this Leafs team has yet to prove they can close, I’m not saying a word until proven otherwise. Montreal isn’t looking great, but this is sports and crazier things have happened.

Just don't give Montreal any confidence/momentum. That's big in the playoffs.

I remember the 1985 Blue Jays were up 3-1 on the Royals and ending up losing the series. What made it worse was 1985 was the 1st year that they made the 1st round best of 7. I know that's baseball, but it's a Toronto team and it's 36 years ago and it still makes me upset. Let's hope that the Leafs don't blow this 3-1 series lead.

I honestly enjoy Cuthbert calling the games. Especially above th garbage we are used to.

But the manufactured drama of announcing everytime Caufield steps on the ice is insane. Literally based on the play so far everytime Nylander gets off the bench it should be declared and hyped up well before a player who has done essentially nothing in his career.

Arguably the only storyline that should be playing out is the desperation of a franchise that was so overhyped by the media to start the season is so desperate for scoring that they are overplaying a 20 year old rookie who had 10 NHL games before the playoffs. It's pathetic how poorly constructed this team was, yet even when they had a sub .500 record they still got hyped by the media of being "built for the playoffs".

Every single player on that roster is so over valued by the media it is insane. Price isn't Hasek, Anderson isn't Lindros, and Caufield is closer to the play of Kerfoot than Matthews.
I like him too, but I'd like to see Bowen back.

Teams that hold a 3-1 lead in a best-of-seven NHL series are 292-29 (.910) all-time.

I don't believe in superstition.

The Leafs shouldn't get overconfident and look past their current opponent, but that doesn't apply to the team's fans.

There's nothing the fans sitting at home can do to influence the outcome of this series. We could paint ourselves blue and march in the streets, or go hide under our beds, and it wouldn't matter. We're not poisoning anything by looking ahead to the next series.

I'm tired of the Habs. They're done.

Bring on the Jets. They don't know it yet, but they're done, too.

Somebody needed to step up in JT’s injury and I’m impressed it’s been Nylander.

The team has really focused on stronger defensive play which is nice to see.

If we make it to the 3rd round and JT is still unable to come back our defense and goaltending is going to have to be excellent to move on, so far so good as you say they are playing very strong

I gotta say, I was surprised how poor Montreal looked from the get go in this one. They already seem checked out. I was expecting this to be the best game of the series for them, and Price was the only one who looked like they cared. For all the talk that Anderson, Gallagher, Weber, were going to make life hell for us, none of them have been noticeable in this series so far.

Let's end this up tomorrow.

Montreal is so shallow the media HAS to hype up Caufield. I said to my Dad, "Does anyone else find it sad how much of a boner the media has for Caufield, when Robertson is about the same talent-wise? Except the Leafs aren't banking on Robertson to come in and save them from their inability to score goals."
Ha! I made this exact comment to a buddy yesterday. Caufield = Robertson...except we don’t have to hype him up as the next coming because we finally have about 4-5 players already better.

Let the good times roll!

Thought so too, especially since Nash has been invisible when in the lineup

Read that in the same way and hard to argue with the result last night.... I hope it continues - thought it was weird that Nash was inserted for Game 1 without a single game played with the team.

Do we have so much depth that Riley Nash @ 100% doesn't get into our lineup?

Nash has to play against Winnipeg, he can shut down their players

Look up the 87 Norris Division Finals.

Takes 4 wins. There's no reason to believe that they won't win the 4th, but they haven't yet.

I don't believe in superstition.

Neither do I.

But I realized at the end of the 1st last night that I wasn't wearing the same jersey that I had for games 2 & 3, so I went upstairs and put it on before the 2nd.

My intellect knows it had absolutely no bearing on the game, all the same, guess what I'm wearing Thursday. :D
