i think its pretty great that we are winning without our first line
every team can eliminate a line but we have 3 great lines still and very good goaltending and underrated D

That was fun, there's nothing better than watching your team kick the crap out of. a hated rival

Honestly I didn't feel like we were going to lose that game at any point of proceedings and I think this game showed the class gulf between the two teams

Loving that 2nd line, those boys look dangerous every time they get on the ice and Spezza looks like a kid in his prime again

Campbell was strong when he needed to be and the defense made his job easier with an intelligent, solid and diligent performance in front of him

Awesome night, let's end the Habs season and make it a great week

All this with Matthews, Marner and Hyman looking meh most of the series thus far. And without Tavares and Foligno. People on this site(main board) are really underestimating this team. Rock solid defense, good goaltending and lots of depth. The Leafs can roll 4 lines and be a threat.

It'll make it all the more sweet if the Leafs do end up advancing to the cup finals. As fun as watching the Leafs beat on the other Canadian teams have been this season, being able to watch the Leafs finally get revenge on Boston or put down those Islanders clowns will be the highlight of a potential cup run for me.

The way the seeding works, we won't face those teams until the finals unless something very unexpected happens like MIN or NSH making it to the semis. More than likely (assuming we get that far) it'll be TB/FLA/CAR for us instead.

That said, it's certainly possible that NYI/BOS could make it to the finals and if we get there as well, the thought of that finals matchup is pretty dreamy indeed!

TJ Brodie has been fantastic this series. It's been a really nice change to have a group of 7 D that have been playing solid defensively.

I felt this during the CBJ play-in series as well. Just a terrific job Keefe has done with this team defensively, while still enabling his offensive players to have breakout seasons.

Matthews has been pretty good this series, not particularly last night but still. Marner not quite at it and Hyman I don’t believe is 100%.

Need those 2 to pick it against the Jets.

We need to get Matty cleaner looks in that series.

It was an odd feeling knowing it would take a bad bounce or scramble for the Habs to score. There was a calmness in Campbell and all the rebounds were being contained or cleared, the Habs just couldn't get anything going.

Well, they scored 3 goals in the second and I'm pretty sure even the broadcasters were laughing about the potential for the habs to score 3 in a period.

Please let's all stop any talk of playing Winnipeg. This series is not over yet.

Yep. Montreal's not going to just roll over at the start of the next game. The Leafs' need to take it to them. Eliminating a team is the hardest game to win against a desperate opponent.

This is where I'm hoping having the experience of Thornton, Spezza, Simmonds, Bogosian, and Muzzin will pay off.
