I was on a zoom call, but I caught a glimpse of Alex, doing a real serious, top end dirty Guess he would like to eliminate the sixth team that let him go.

That guy stays in the lineup. lol. Man, bet his teammates are looking at him a bit differently now.

Congrats! Leafs have taken Habs will to compete away. Sad to say but looking at the Habs body language, they have laid down have no GiveAF.....
Leafs clearly better and everyone knew that going in but they stepped up to the point the other team quit. That's great to see as a Leafs fan I'm sure. Impose your will o an opponent is a good sign.
You are what your record says you are and they have easily been better reg. season and POs team

Tougher hurdles ahead. Next rd the opponent might actually be capable of a few goals a game lol. Good luck.

And big ups to Gally; these jokers gave up on you and didn't give you any support when you had issues and you burn them with two elite assists and the empty netter, love it.

Jacky boy has a level of calm that Freddy never had and only top-end goalies have. Sample sizes can do that, but even still I'm fully down with giving him a two year deal for 4 per and the team's surely copious connections so he can get himself a dope f*** pad in the city.

I've been hard on Muzzin this year and truly he's been average, but he's silently a very solid guy to have, especially when he cuts down on his badly timed pinches.

Matthews didn't get any points, but he also didn't get swept in 4 by an underdog. Continues to bang hard, win faceoffs and get back to take his man.

If there's one guy I can gripe on its been Mikheyev - 'sorry bro, the princess is another castle...you ain't finished because you have no finish.'


Price was not great so I have nothing good to say about any Habs players. Toffoli, Suzuki, KK, Petry, Gallagher, Weber...everyone who is anyone was a ghost.

Cole Caufield will join the long list of talented youngsters ruined by the Canadiens.

Generally, it’s inadvisable to play a goalie two games in a row. Habs gambled and lost. I wouldn’t put it on price.

Pulling the goalie early is going to be a new trend. Roy did it while he was with the avalanche and babcock did it because dubas read an article from the athletic, which argued that it is statistically optimal to pull your goaltender early (4 minutes when down 2, 9 minutes when down 3, etc). The article is a little suspect because i don’t think there is a lot of sample size which supports that theory and it doesn’t take into account the psychological aspect of hockey.

Alexander Kerfoot is a warrior. What a player in this series. Had to fast forward a bit through the game because of a breakfast meeting, but it looked like a dominant enough win. Congratulations to Jack Campbell for his first play-off-shutout and to Willy Nye The Play-Off Guys for scoring as many goals as the entire Canadiens team in this series.

The difference between us and the Oilers is really the debt of the line up. With our best three players (Matthews, Marner, Tavares) not picking up points or not playing the rest of the line-up steps up and overmatches the opponent.

Hopefully we'll finish the series on Thursday. I might stay up for that one, even though breaking habits during a winning streak is risky.

Skimming over your post I can see why someone might think you were a Leafs fan (I did for a moment tbh.)

"We can and we will" is in reference to what Dubas said about signing and keeping all of Nylander/Matthews/Marner. It's used in mostly a positive way, but also sometimes a negative and mocking way.

In short, @Auston Powers was just agreeing with you. :thumbu:
