Post-Game Talk: Leafs win Game 4!

  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
Me too until Chris and Craig reminded me the Leafs comeback against Columbus last year.
Got even worse when Hyman missed that open net but when Gally scored the 4th, I know it is over. Quite surprised Habs didn’t continue to pull after the EN bc if they get one, it will help them for the next game.

Yeah, Craig trying to imply that anything can happen while omitting the fact that Montreal does not have anything near the skill-level that we have.

Well I guess there is COLE CAU- ah nvm.

Good call on moving Kerfoot up with William. I am not sure why Nash was with them last game
He had a shift or two with Kerfoot and Willy, but spent the majority of his time in the bottom 6 when Kerfoot played up with Nylander/Gally.

I'm currently marinating my bowl of crow for if/when the Leafs win their 4th and get over that mental hurdle.

The jets are, very good.

Nothing is easy, anywhere.

Man I would like to take anderson and petry to the next round.

Imagine that in the nhl, being able to take one of your defeated, on to the next round, even just one.

Me, pretty easy, if its just two, Price, and Anderson.

Both of them would excel with us.

Till then, eliminate them
You use too many commas

i mean neither did columbus..we beat ourselves that game lol

Here is how cool or some would call it secretive, the NHL, is.

I have no absolutely no idea, what, Connor, will do with free agency. Zero

If, I did. I would say even less.

But, I really don't have a clue. None. Heck he dated a friends sister, for a few weeks and she nor the friend, knews he was a hockey player, much less the possible best player of all time.,

These guys are like that. Its why I love hockey so much.

They have gone through so many hoops to get where they are. Guys that are traded, bond very quickly

And, have to say, vast majority of them love to play, when the games really count, playing intense hockey, like, heh, the playoffs.

Playing with the best, against the best.

Everyone is wondering why Kerfoot, is playing so well, well, come on.

He wants to show, what he has, what he can deliver. I think he is a terrific player .

We looked great tonight. Much better than last game.
Cambell is the real deal.

Holding the other team to 4 goals in 4 games is awfully impressive.
A lot of positives from tonight.

Marner still looks bad though. I hope he has a big game 5. We need him to wake the heck up.
Hyman is probably at like 20% max health right now. Hopefully we can finish up the series on Thursday so he can get some rest.

I still prefer Sandin over Dermott although Dermott held his own tonight.

Galchenyuk-Kerfoot-Nylander look mighty good together.

I need a Spezza jersey ASAP.
Are you serious about Marner? He was all over the Ice tonight. But we all have different expectations maybe you expected more from him

It's awesome that this Leafs' team didn't lose its cool, unlike myself, after the Tavares injury. And this has been accomplished to date without getting god level Auston Matthews.

Rest up or game one Saturday?
I figure we'd start with the end of the other series if that's the case. I don't expect them to start us earlier.

So likely Tuesday to have us play HNIC on alternating days then we're "caught up" with the rest of the league.

Regardless of all the flak they'll get for the North Division angle, the experience of winning their first round together will build some strong momentum for this post-season and beyond.

I agree. I think if this core is able to get over that mental hump their game will really excel. That being said, they haven't managed to do it yet so I'm not going to celebrate early.

Ship it!

Galchenyuk not only showed why he should be in the playoffs (which many of us said from the start), but also now provides another line option for Keefe. Assuming Tavares and Foligno returned on that line, Galchenyuk has now shown some chemistry with Kerfoot. All he needs is a net driver as both his passes today showed. Gally can also be a shooter when required.

His winger could even come in the form of Spezza or what have you. Provides the potential of three two ways lines with varying degrees of offense that would provide problems for the opposition.

This game was a prototype of the identity I was hoping the Leafs would have. Strong defense that ensures low event hockey in their own end with timely, balanced offense and puck possession. Furthermore a PP that makes the other team pay for their abuses.

You now the saying " Don't hate the playa' hate the game".

Leafs didn't cause the pandemic nor the new Div alignment, so its all fair game.

Agreed, that this team does need to learn how to win together and this will go a long way to build confidence.

Final 4 or Bust this year.
