I honestly enjoy Cuthbert calling the games. Especially above th garbage we are used to.

But the manufactured drama of announcing everytime Caufield steps on the ice is insane. Literally based on the play so far everytime Nylander gets off the bench it should be declared and hyped up well before a player who has done essentially nothing in his career.

Arguably the only storyline that should be playing out is the desperation of a franchise that was so overhyped by the media to start the season is so desperate for scoring that they are overplaying a 20 year old rookie who had 10 NHL games before the playoffs. It's pathetic how poorly constructed this team was, yet even when they had a sub .500 record they still got hyped by the media of being "built for the playoffs".

Every single player on that roster is so over valued by the media it is insane. Price isn't Hasek, Anderson isn't Lindros, and Caufield is closer to the play of Kerfoot than Matthews.

But Bower........Who the heck plays almost two decades in the minors.

Then stymies, the best of the best in the NHL. Wins numerous Cups.

Who has a personality like Bower, did, or does.

Uhhhh, Jack Campbell.

Heck, you can tell Jack Campbell wants and wanted to share, this victory, with Fred Andersen.

Andersen, seems to genuinely, like Campbell.

Borje always struck me as a bit of a sage. Get by a hall of fame goalie and dman, in Montreal, and, well. Could be a lot of fun. Keep it positive boys.

The Jets were garbage a week ago according to HF. Basically until Toronto went up 2-1 and the Jets pulled ahead of Edmonton. Now that it's likely Leafs-Jets, they're world beaters.

If Edmonton had won we would be hearing about how McDrai will kill the Leafs.

I actually do think the Jets will be a tough out, as I had them pegged as the second best team in the North behind Toronto.

I still dont get why people cant seem to grasp the concept that the biggest hockey market is going to get the most attention by the media, and have the biggest presence on hfboards.

Montreal is so shallow the media HAS to hype up Caufield. I said to my Dad, "Does anyone else find it sad how much of a boner the media has for Caufield, when Robertson is about the same talent-wise? Except the Leafs aren't banking on Robertson to come in and save them from their inability to score goals."

After the 3rd goal I was flat out relaxed watching the hockey game.

That's a strange feeling for a Leaf playoff game. Almost felt reg. season.

Overall I enjoy Cuthbert bc I can feel the excitement when Leafs made a good play but I don’t like the over the top whenever Habs had a chance on goal. If you just listen to the game, you would have thought Habs got a lot of HD chances and Campbell stole the game but in reality they were mostly better than nothing chances. I guess that’s also showed Habs just couldn’t create anything.

It'll make it all the more sweet if the Leafs do end up advancing to the cup finals. As fun as watching the Leafs beat on the other Canadian teams have been this season, being able to watch the Leafs finally get revenge on Boston or put down those Islanders clowns will be the highlight of a potential cup run for me.

Gotta say, brings a big smile to my face seeing how salty fans of other Canadian teams are about the Leafs winning and how they keep lying to themselves trying to call the Leafs an overrated team

its not just other fans of Canadian teams, it’s throughout the league. They truly want the Leafs to fail. They want to proven true that this system or cap management will not work. And of course jealousy plays a big part of it.

heck very few fans acknowledge Matthews and his stats around the league.

Me too until Chris and Craig reminded me the Leafs comeback against Columbus last year.
Got even worse when Hyman missed that open net but when Gally scored the 4th, I know it is over. Quite surprised Habs didn’t continue to pull after the EN bc if they get one, it will help them for the next game.
