It was to the point where my family and I were wondering if the broadcast had it wrong and that MTL was actually challenging for offside on the entry. It made no sense. I recognize them dealing with 2 reviews at the same time and all, but that was a one take, single angle review in my mind. I’m not even convince any part of Thornton’s stick even touched Carey. It was a terrible challenge. At the end of the day, I’m just happy they got it right
I thought maybe interference looked different aux francais lol

I get the “hate” for guys like Marner and Nylander in a tight checking series like this (or the ones against Columbus and Boston), but that’s why we got guys like Simmonds and Foligno, to cover up for their short comings. Against teams like the Oilers and Jets, or later on like Avalanche or Tampa, those guys will really show their value.

I was screaming at my TV when Marner made that drop pass to Matthews in the second, but like 5 seconds later it was in the back of the net. Do I wish he would shoot more? Of course, but you take the bad with the good, and he’s been a net positive I think.

I just realized Nick Robertson is healthy and hasn't played? Out of curiosity...why? Like Thornton does not look good, he threw a few hits but he's making plays slowly and not doing much. Simmonds adds some toughness at least but isn't really gonna contribute much either side of the ice. At least they put Engvall in for Nash.

team has to be better, can't let those dirty cross-checks and cheap after whistle shots get to them. It won't be easy, but I think they can improve.

I think Bergevin called the challenge from the press box because he thought the Habs might rally behind it. Nothing else makes much sense

And probably not scared to take the risk because of the Leafs poor power play lately.

Robertson would probably have a hard time with Montreal’s physical play.

Robertson is at the games played limit for burning a year of his ELC. We’re not playing him so it slides to next year

Good game all around.... team looked million times better than they did in game 1. If toronto plays like that the rest of the series i dont know that montreal has any answers.

Engvall/spezza were definitely a difference makers in the game, bringing energy and effort .... defense was great, powerplay was productive... and matthews/marner found the score sheet. Sandin had a much better game also.

Still expect a bit more from Foligno
in the 3rd the announcer said he was like 12-2 in the faceoff circle

So Price is human? I think he is mental game is overrated...look how he reacted in the practice.

Let’s break down the goals like we always do with our own goalies.
Spezza’s goal should be a save.
No chance on AM’s goal.
No chance on Sandin’s goal with the screen.
Don’t understand why he lost his balance after AM’s shot which led to Willie’s shot.
Kerfoot was an EN.

I say he is beatable
