100% this. Spending 5 minutes to make an easy decision reeked of trying to find fault. Defeats the whole purpose of it. Don't create controversy where there isn't any, it opens too many doors. Killed the momentum of the game for the Leafs. I thought it was a Mickey Mouse move by the league, typical.

They mentioned this on the broadcast. 2 factors, they were wrapping a review in St. Paul and they were waiting for a non broadcast tv angle replay to confirm the location and timing of Jumbo's stick.

I agree with you, they were looking effing hard.

Please tell me that the people heaping praise on Sandin on the PP aren't the same people that were screaming for his benching after Thursday's game?
Sandin is great, but he shouldn't be playing with Bogosian because neither of them has the foot speed to cover the other on stretch plays. Just an obvious weakness that the Habs had clearly built into their game plan. It's Keefe's fault, not Sandin's.

Looked great today. Not as nervous as we were yesterday, and we definitely showed Tavares we got his back. Let's hope they play like this the rest of the playoffs.

I did catch the explanation but immediately brushed it off as lame. With the technology we have today and I'm sure there is more than one body in the booth to make an easy call. They must also be running an Atari :sarcasm::help:.

Notice that lame ass excuse cbc gave on why he flashed that number. These shills sicken me.
What did the broadcast suggest?

Edit: Just got to that point of the thread. That’s pathetic by sportnet. Just call it what it is. The fans aren’t stupid and it makes your network look bad.

I hope irony turns around and it works out MTL only had 4 games left at that point

Hey guys, Habs fan dropping in. Just wanted to say you guys were classy AF after the first game, particularly towards understanding the Tavares injury and lack of intent. I'm sorry our side isn't really returning the favour after tonight's game. Us French are passionate and we often says things in the heat of the moment before thinking it through, and its usually accepted in our culture because everyone does it. I guess we at least don't bottle anything up.

Anyways, I know for a fact that if we get knocked out a large majority of us would cheer you guys onto a cup, but on the other hand we'd also laugh and point fingers if you choked to Edmonton or Winnipeg. It's only natural. And I think it goes without saying it would be the highlight of most of our hockey lives if we can beat you guys. But that's only because we respect your teams talent so much and believe you franchise history is the only one to rival ours.

So please keep that in mind next time one of says something stupid, they don't represent all of us, and good luck for the rest of the playoffs!

Great game by Kerfoot and Engvall.

Good to see Matthews get going still think Marner has a lot more to give.
Simmonds did what he had to, Sandin first playoff bomb.
It’s been said many times, Marner needs to just shoot more and stop always trying for the nifty pass

Literally made zero sense. Bieksa said it the best, goalies are the biggest whiners in the game. The fact that price didn’t even flinch was the most telling point of the whole play. Very obvious it was not goalie interference. Not sure what an extra angle would have shown TBH. Just happy they got the call right. I would have lost my shit if that was overturned

It's hilarious...all they had to do was watch HNIC for the angles and replays...it was clear as day that there was no goalie interference.

The thing with the challenge that had me confused was the positioning of Jumbo. The goal was on the opposite side of where Jumbo allegedly interfered. He had absolutely no infleuence on the goal and Price did not contest it in the least. He got beat clean.

Yes, the challenge took a little too long but honestly, if a long challenge is going to have a serious effect on s team, then maybe that team isn’t very good. Good teams are able to deal with unusual situations.
