Is definitely the biggest question mark right now.

I suspect if the Leafs win on Monday they may be more inclined to go with a backup. Then again, may want to ride Campbell for the near knockout. Hard to say!
Ya my thoughts exactly, for my, ideally I wanted to win the first 3 games and then I’d be more than okay with giving Andersen game 4 as, if he wins, he gets to experience winning a playoff round as a leaf, even if he wins 1 game only, and if he loses, we would’ve have 3 chances to close the series out. Looking at it now, game 3 decides Andersen’s fate IMO, if we win, I’d wouldn’t mind him playing game 4, but if we lose, I’d 100% play campbell game 4, barring an injury

Marner's looked a bit concerning, but it's been two games. Nylander is a mixed bag like usual, though mostly good. Matthews is a playoff gamer. Sandin: so much potential. Joe on first unit powerplay makes me want to stab myself in the eye. Campbell looking as advertised, scary to think of Andersen getting the Tuesday start for workload management. D looks good overall.

Would be surprised if we lose this series to Montreal, but hey, much stranger things have happened.

I don't think it's hate. We've seen all season that this guy can make multiple highlight plays throughout the game. The playoffs get a bit tighter and we haven't seen him make that impact yet.

I think we will see him get more opportunities as the series continues.
But he didn’t have a bad game he got two assists almost scored a highlight real goal I don’t remember him even turning over a puck

Don’t have the stats to back it up right this minute but goalies that play both nights typically don’t fare well in the second game.

It’s a tough call. I’d personally want Campbell in net for both but don’t think it’s going to to happen.
Statistically it is a good call, but I don't think it applies when there's such a vast chasm of ability between the goalies. Campbell at his worst is still a better option

I want to win this series, so Andersen can stay on the bench where he belongs.

Please tell me that the people heaping praise on Sandin on the PP aren't the same people that were screaming for his benching after Thursday's game?

I was one of those. I didn't want him benched, but removed from the PP. He was really good this game offensively, but nearly gave up another shorthanded breakaway. He's not good defensively. But he seemed to QB the PP instead of Marner. If he takes the puck out of Marner's hands, then he would be my choice going forward. But he will need more forward support than Rielly needs.

Nice bounce back game. We needed it or we would have been in trouble like (Wash and oil).
Motion motion motion. Always the key. Pierre in the line helped a lot, called this after Thursday's loss. His for check and big body makes a difference. The speed and the ability to absorb hits is important. When Dmen try to take him out, they are taken out of their game and position.
Kerfoot, PE and Kik all the chances in the world but almost zero scoring acuman.

A couple of observations : Our passing was not good at all, we were in position for one timers but the passes were not in the wheelhouse on many occasions. We also bobbled many passes, I don't now if It's the ice or nerves......clean it up.
Mariner has absolutely no idea what to do with the puck when he is in a shooting position. Does not make good shot decisions, much like Rielly.
At the end of the game, when they were shoving Simmonds around, I want to see more back up coming in for support, there wasn't any. Bruins and many other teams don't let you get away with that garbage against their team mates.
The Hab defense are taking too many liberties in front of Price against our forwards, too many cross checks to the back and slashes. We need push back on that from Nick, Hyman and Simmonds, even Jumbo can give a shove as well.
Habs will play better Monday be prepared Leafs.

Now they just got to get foligno going.... I have a feeling he will play a big part in game 3.... on the road with fans(I think).... he’ll definitely make some plays

I thought game 6 was the earliest with fans in Quebec but I could be wrong.

Agree Foligno hasn’t had the effect I hoped. Even in the regular season, he produced but he doesn’t seem to have the edge I was hoping for. That said I feel better we have him with Tavares out.

weird feeling but I think going into Montreal will help the leafs, their ice is really good, and will work good for our skill to really shine...

Campbell is .943% and 1.53 GAA in two games so far in the playoffs. I know it's just Montreal, but proving his regular season stats aren't a fluke.

I legitimately hope he's given a true chance to be our number one next season. Am I silly for thinking that?
