Some people keep dumping on Holl and want him off the team and I don't get it. Dude has looked pretty solid in all the games this season and him and Muzzin look good as a pairing. He may not ever be a star player, but as long as he can keeping playing good, reliable defense and even improve abit, that would be good enough for me.

I wish people weren't so quick to rip Bogosian. He is fine. No he will not win the Norris. Yes he will clear the net, make a first pass, kill penalties, and stop the cycle.
Agree he brings a different element to the team.

Wish you saw what Nylander brings too.

It's too bad for the Jets that they lost Byfuglien, Trouba and Tyler Myers in little over one year's time. The character of their blueline basically transformed overnight from their corps of big, tall rangy RHD's to a small group led by Josh Morrissey from the left. Ah well, too bad, so sad.
They also lost Enstrom a few years back. It went from looking like a pretty good blue line to one of the worst in just a few years.

A lot of teams are not playing well right now in the ScotiaBank TimBit division. Edmonton Winnipeg and Ottawa.

I'm one of those on the people. Well not exactly more on the fence about it.

Me personally. Feels like they get more out of hyman then Joe but Joe has looked good for the most part. Still feel like Joe could contribute more on the 3rd line adding his high iq and mikh and kerfoots great hockey ability.

Basically just swap there usage. Hyman plays on the top line and Joe on the 3rd and every few shifts Joe plays on the top. But it's early im not THAT against or for for either really.

Keefe would agree with you that Hyman makes that line better than Thornton does.

He just thinks Hyman is even more helpful carrying the 3rd line.

I'm really not against changing it either tbh. I just dont understand the hate Thornton has been getting. He hasnt fit like a glove, but he's been good enough to warrant the chance to continue playing him primarily with AM/MM to see if they can build their chemistry.

They also have a lot of forwards who seem to be looking for the exit. Laine, Roslovic. You almost think they need to retool the program and focus on Western Canadian talent who could be a better lifestyle fit in that market. They sort of have the same problem the Toronto Raptors do (without the success).

after getting to watch Brodie for a run of games now.. He has proven to be a poor "rebounder" to use basketball parlance. It is a skill to get on loose pucks around the net and naturally he will get outmuscled from time to time. He has proven to be extremely adept at breaking up odd man situations, whether its a long 2 on 1 or something in a shorter space. Good feel for when to get the stick or body down , using body fakes to try and goad the offensive player into making the first move. That is a welcome change from the likes of Tyson Barrie who was unequivocally one of the worst odd man defenders i've ever seen at the NHL level. Many, many more games to go but those are my early observations.

Yup it's about time we had a defensive minded 3rd line.

With all our offensive weapons, it's important to have this in our back pocket.

I mean this was their 2nd game. They are also the same team they were last year. They are fully carried by their goalie.

Oh wow, with the amount of times they kept showing those 3 Laine points on TV I just assumed they played a two game series vs Calgary.

That may be true idk. Its work so far so w.e but if a mid season slump occurs that would be a switch id have my eye on for. Hyman brings so much damn energy everywhere he goes lol.

For sure let him swim till he sinks... IF he sinks. Not like its hard to switch lines Keefe is very flexible. Babcock on the other hand....
