Why aren't they talking about how great Hellebuyck played? 40 shots with just 1 PP he is the only reason Winnipeg was in this.

Made it seem like Andersen was the one under seige all night.

He'd be a hard contract to let walk. Hard to beat what he brings for 2mil

Still feel unsure about jumbo. Really feel like hyman needs to go back there.

Hyman can recover the puck well and hunt it as well. Heck he can even make some plays with it. But I think he really excels with high ig teammates who he can defer and dish to. He's like the anti kapanen essentially.

Man, the main boards like to complain about the Leafs defense, but that Winnipeg D is awful, even when healthy.

Too bad for Winnipeg, as they have the goaltending and forwards to be Cup contenders.

agreed, especially on the PK. I like Holl with Dermott tbh. And I like Dermott with Muzzin. They should really be playing Dermott more and have him split time with those two.

The goal wpg scored Muzzin lost it near the net (almost an own goal) and they never recovered until it went in.

I'm hoping Keefe gives the boys a day off after that one. Everyone but Hyman and Brodie looked GASSED by the second half of the 3rd.

Gotta make sure have energy to keep up with McDavid & trash come Wednesday.

Montreal beat them the last game and are again leading tonight. Oilers are weak in goal; play neutral zone trap against them and they cannot get stuff done

Great post. No kidding. This was a great game by the leafs. Very happy with the way they played, winnepeg extremely lucky to be in the game. Helyabuck played like the vezina winner he is, and they were very fortunate to have gotten 4 PP. this game was not even close

He definitely looks faster, and his ability to stick handle looks improved to me as well. Very hard to knock him off the puck whenever he has it

I like Jumbo. I think he's been really good. The 3rd line has been good as well, so I am afraid of messing with it.

Hyman with JT could make some sense but I'm not sure if they would mesh all that well.

I still dont get the issue with Thornton. Hyman on the 3rd line looks great, and Keefe puts him with Mitch/Auston once every three or four shifts.

Their underlying stats are ridiculous, and he isnt a blackhole. His skating really just doesnt pass the eye test.

Very noticeable this year. He's challenging for everything, and jumping in for Marner at the end was great to see.
