But on the flip side, this team almost always has looked good early in seasons and then sort of faded towards the end. The offence has sputtered, IMO. Not fair to blame the goaltending.
The Leafs were playing at a 78-point pace under Babcock when he got fired, and a 103 point pace under Keefe at the time of the shutdown, so that's objectively false.

Andersen himself has a .903 SV% since March of 2019. It's pretty f***ing fair to blame the goaltending when their offence is still generating boatloads of scoring chances and still sits top 10 in the league in goals.

I hope one of these days Keefe stops juggling the lines - which I feel in most cases is a cop-out by a coach as a deflection from the fact his strategy isn't working (any more). I'm thinking if Gal has an off-night, for example, he'll be back on the 4th line the next game.

Let these guys get used to each other, give them some rope and if the team is struggling to score, defend, stop the cycle, etc. try coaching them out of it. Ingenious I know but we're over halfway through the season and consistency in the lineup (barring injuries) - thankfully, Keefe seems pretty settled here - but the lines as well sends a message to both the players and other teams that "Yeah, we're good, thanks."

None of those things are on Dubas. He doesn't make lineup decisions. Thornton's ice time has also been cut dramatically in March. He's played 10-13 minutes in 2/3's of the games or something like that. Still has the odd game with a lot more ice time but in general we are load managing him right now.

Andersen has sucked, but I don't see how that has anything to do with a team that has been rather excellent in March otherwise or why you are saying the sky is falling. Our iffy PP was 1st in xGF/60 in March and was 3rd in GF/60 despite it being our coldest stretch of the year. If anything we played better in March than earlier in the season when we were winning but Andersen just sucked that much more to make up for it.
Kind of wrecking the GDT so i think I’ll let it go for another day. Some things i like actually lol.

Should i put Andersen’s numbers up for you playing injured. Much worst. I’ll spare myself. You don’t know what you are arguing about any more
Andersen has a .903 SV% since March of 2019. Injuries aren't an excuse when he's been regressing for two years now.

Avs could be the team to beat. not only do they take more shots on net than any team they give up the fewest in the whole league. And it follows with goals scored they are tied with Tampa for most goals per game and again they give up the fewest goals per game.
Add to that their special teams are also top tier and just the way they play the game .They play the same sort of fast pace , high skill , 5 man possession game we try to play but they play a bigger and stronger much more physical version . Watch them next time they play Vegas and you will shake your head in awe , both teams can play that game better than we can .

Peg have a good team, but they really don't scare me in a play-off series. The Leafs have dictated play and I think they are simply better. Let's see how it plays out, but I like Leafs chances against them. Having said that, I would prefer the Leafs to match up with the Oilers first round, and let the Peg and Habs kill each other.

It’s simple...
Our goaltending is trash minus 6 games from Campbell
Our defence is very good
Our offense is very good with not enough finish
Our special team are a joke
We outplay everyone
We don’t ever get a save
We are in 1st place

They aren't really. The PP generantes a lot of chances but can't finish. Our PK is good but has been hurt by bad goaltending.

Let's start stringing some wins together here. Games seem to be getting a bit tougher and the buds have not been able to finish way to many chances.

- show up
- make saves
- keep composed

We win.

Yeah just a bad month in the big picture. I mean it was only a quarter of the season playing .500 hockey. :)

Can't disagree with your stats. But outside of a maybe two games, it feels like the Leafs were the better team in most of those losses. Not sure what that says, but I am not worried at all. Let's check back in another 6 games and see how the last 10 play out. 3-0 -1 in last four. Leafs are winning this division. No doubt in my mind.

As good as the Jets are, I have yet to see them dominate a game/team all season. They out goalie ands outscore their opponents but get outplayed quite often.
