I believe we will outplay them, however, Hely will make ridiculous saves. Its up to the Soupman in net to hold his own.

The Leafs are the best they have been since 2003-2004 but you wouldn't know it since people never stop crying.

If the PP issues and goaltending are able to get it together, we’re laughing like we did through January and February. Even with said issues, the Leafs haven’t been losing games because they didn’t show up or because they folded like a cheap tent.

Tonight’s a big night, here’s hoping it’s a good one!
I’m showing some poor trends. Stating some over rated players (Rielly) pointing out management played two hurting goalies knowing full well it was dangerous to do so. Then states he will trade a top prospect for a top forward???. Wtf

If they lose tonight, lose first place in the North. Finish a 14 game March 7-7 for .500 hockey at the cost of 25% of the season.

I think game will be close and we will get hockey god breaks Jets got in our barn ... assuming Soupy starts ... if it is Hutch it could get ugly

My patience with Simmonds wearing thin. He's too slow to be physical or have any physical impact

Also with Mikaheyv. His lack of finish is really concerning

Yep and we still have two fragile goalies and a G.M betting his season on them so he can trade a top prospect for a top 6 forward we don’t need. His words.

Actually, not his words at all.

He says he is willing to move a top prospect. Doesn't say he will, does not say what it would take for him to do so, and he does not even say who he classifies as a top prospect.

We don't even know if he is still overly motivated to get a top 6 forward anymore now that Galchenyuk has emerged as a legitimate candidate. I imagine he is looking at goalies depending on how Andersen is progressing. I imagine he is still looking for cheap depth up front and on defense. He may even look for a forward who may be able to upgrade Thornton in the top 6, which is probably a bigger need than anything else we've got right now besides insurance in net. I doubt he is paying huge assets for that guy though, especially when he is likely going to be looking at rentals.

We weren’t anywhere near the least penalized for a good chunk of the season. It’s gone down the last 5 weeks after being a complete joke previously. Reffing is bad, they’ll screw us every chance they get in the future don’t worry.
I don't know man, yeah I know now there is game management. There are tons of noncalls but I think it goes both ways to keep the game managed. It sucks but that's what it is. Im just glad I don't bet on games and I do look at the game as more of a show now. It is what it is. Olympic and World championship hockey is the best, no doubt.

He’s been saying he wants forwards. Ran our injured goalies in to the ground again and this is his second go round screwing the goalie position.

Important two game set. Have a game in hand on the Jets, so getting a couple of wins year can help re-establish that division lead.

The Jets play Carlyle hockey but have the top end talent to make teams that take a shift off pay.

Score first and have our D men maintain solid gap control the rest of the game and we should be good.

They also don’t have the defensive depth to handle the new 2nd line if Galch is for real.

Finally I’d like the Leafs to just load up PP1 and keep it that way for a couple games. Nylander was a really good bet front guy last year and idk why we changed it.

I would just prefer that they play their original lines on the PP.

Marner Matthews Hyman

Chucky Tavares Nylander

Not acceptable either way

He has 5 goals now, and most of those came recently. He should have double that based on the number of chances he is getting but it is not like he is not scoring at all.

Not to mention he is an amazing shutdown player.

Minny is a scary team now?
Oh yeah they've been rock solid , similar P% as us but fewer games played , I've been following the AVs as a second team and after watching them battle Minny and Vegas I can tell you that division has been playing fast and tough playoff hockey all season .

We weren't even THIS good. Just had very good goaltending.

The battle for Florida is another wild division , Its pretty interesting this year with the 4x4 seeding and no wild cards barring a collapse by somebody the divisions are pretty much set for top 3 .

This post is a poor trend, especially when they're 3-0-1 in their last 4 despite said goaltending and PP issues. But yes, we can keep crying and pretend that a 7 game slump (the first under Keefe as head coach) that was spearheaded by an .857 SV% stretch by Andersen will last forever.

The Leafs had absolutely no choice but to play Andersen and Campbell, unless you think throwing Hutchinson and two unready prospects in Woll and VV into the fire is a genius idea. Even if Dubas traded for a goalie today, we still wouldn't see him until next week due to quarantine.

The Leafs have had 8 players play 2LW alongside Tavares & Nylander (Vesey, Barabanov, Thornton, Simmonds, Kerfoot, Mikheyev, Hyman, & Galchenyuk) while a 41-year old Thornton has seen a bulk of his 5v5 TOI with Matthews and Marner. The third line outside of Hyman doesn't produce much offence at all. They need to trade for a forward, but you're absolutely delusional to think that's all Dubas would do. He's not going to lay out all his cards on the table to the MSM when that would make him look desperate.

The Leafs are the only team that can be in 1st place, have a tough stretch (like every team does), and have that stretch just erase the much longer stretch of good play apparently. Incredible really.

Man so many posts, stating so and so sucks and about many of the guys. If you asked a non follower of the team to read the posts and then asked what place are we in. Not one would seriously guess 1st. LMAO!
Lol that’s mostly me man ha. Keefe has to wake up and Dubas has to make a move because the decline in March is telling. Easy part of the season they are a great soft team. Soon as it gets tighter the record plummets.
Lots of bad trends with this team. Cracks ate showing. Keefe better make some adjustments. Dubas better read a different book. They allowed teams to catch and the bad goaltending if a huge issue. Always a issue with dubas running the team

The only reason Winnipeg was even close last couple games against us is because of Hellebuyk.

He's part of their team though so whatever, we gotta beat him, get traffic in front, bump him, get in his way, do whatever.

Games against us are like the stanley cup for their team and their fans so hopefully the boys can match their intensity right from the start and don't take any needless penalties.

This "decline" was spearheaded by an .857 SV% stretch by Andersen and there hasn't been a game this month in which they lost due to the fact they didn't show up or because they were "soft."

Give me a break with this shitty ass boomer mentality.

Work your injured tandem to death is smart stuff. I play the Hutch every time and don’t destroy my goalies long term health. Thats what i would do. March was bad. You don’t like seeing that or hearing that then it’s to bad for ya man.

38 goals for in March and 36 against. Our goaltending gave up less than the teams we played. You funny. Now them numbers are funny too.
Ate you like a new punk
