GDT: 3/3/25 - 7:00PM EDT - Tampa Bay @ Florida

The Bolt's season has been pretty up and down from month to month

October: 7-3-0
November: 5-6-2
December: 8-3-0
January: 7-8-1
February: 7-0-1

Take from that what you will. Hopefully we don't have any issues in March coming off a really good win streak, and potentially adding to the lineup at the deadline.
They can't afford another sub .500 pr .500 March and still guarantee a spot, so let's hope not.

Don't have enough elements on this team to compete with the Panthers if they're playing at the top of their game. Even doubled them in PP chances and couldn't get it done. Definitely had a shot to win this game still, Bobrovsky and the post/crossbar came up big. Our lack of formidable bottom 6, and Florida's imposing D really stood out as glaring differences in this game. Seth Jones...that was a pretty damn good debut.
Jones was far from a difference maker imo. He didn't cost them, but wasn't special or anything

I don't if he's going to help them this season but he was mostly a non-factor in this game.

Fact-Vasy gave up 2, including one he probably should've had, Bob gave up 1. Vasy played well-fact; he had a good sv % 27/29, but Bob was better, stopping 28/29. Sorry you don't like what Isaid, but it was all facts, so again, don't really care about whatever you think about it.

He was one of the better players on the ice once he got comfortable imo, could tell his caliber is pretty up there. I liked how he took chances despite his first game with a new team, that's a good sign for them and bad for the rest of the east.

They just can't win against Florida or Toronto, no matter what happens on the ice they always find a way to lose. Now what about 3-10 over the last couple of years. The only chance to win is if something extraordinary happens like JJ's lifegame in December

I mean, when your 2C has 3 goals in 16 games - it hurts. When your bottom six can't grind down games when theirs can, it hurts. When you get 23 powerplays as they high stick our guys every shift and you can't capitalize - it hurts.

Team shot themselves in the foot on this one. Oh well. I don't get the fetish of putting Raddysh out there on the PP. Like, stop. I saw enough to want Victor shooting high and wide instead of baldy out there. I like Raddysh, but stop... lol.

Perbix sucks. He's so Jeckyl and Hyde it's unreal. More of him means us getting hemmed in our zone. Would really like an improvement over him. This kind of game exactly exposes the deficiencies of our current team. Good, but not good enough. We don't have the muscle to bring it to them and we don't have the scoring, just like last year, to beat *them*. They neutralize Kucherov or Point and the chances go up significantly to beat us. Maurice knows it... if we want to beat them or Toronto, it's not just one move that needs to be made. Need two forwards, at minimum, and somehow grab someone better than Perbix.

This is probably the most accurate thing you've said all season.

Tkachuk will make a big difference for Florida too if he can come back in time and be healthy enough to contribute.

He wasn't noticeable really. Good, hope he takes chances, as that'll lead to plenty of mistakes as well.

Tampa is right there with Florida, not worried. As long as JBB adds a couple of forwards, Tampa can beat them in a series.

Yeah it pains me to see it happen but that is one hell of a team they've built over there. They'll probably land another good forward too by the looks of it.
If only all Tampa fans were already taking the defeatist attitude, we could all save a lot of time and probably money. It was a one goal game with multiple chances to win. Tampa is going to add significantly knowing JBB, so yeah, Tampa is very capable of winning a series against them, despite your laughing emoji.

That was re: your Seth Jones dismissal. I don't know about this defeatist talk, it's looking at how we stack up against the champs and they're just on a different tier right now, more equipped. It's giving a team their due. I'm not sure if one deadline addition puts us up there unless it's a huge add, but two? Could be interesting.

Vasy alone gives you a chance against anyone but the thought of meeting a healthy Florida team in round 1 with LTIR $ yet to spend... that will be a steep mountain to climb. I'm talking about the teams right now, not post-deadline which I hope looks different. That's why JBB is working the phones in the first place.

Really is a brutal draw in the Atlantic

They're not on another level or tier imo, but okay. If Tampa's power play does what it usually does and 2 posts aren't rang, Tampa probably wins 4-2 or 4-3, if you give them credit for the post as well. They ate far from some overwhelming or dominant team over Tampa.

Thats the thing... if we don't, we are f***ed. If we do, it definitely needs to pan out. Like 2RW and a legit 3rd liner. I don't think we can get by on hopes and dreams without two legit forwards coming in.

Cats even strength goals after 180 minutes of hockey = 1
Bolts = 5

5 vs 1 Carl.

The potential playoff meeting looks like an easy win if zebras do not interfere.

Chaffee fluked into a goal on the powerplay last game and now we’re back to this shit. Having all the right-handed shots is completely useless when they are never a threat to shoot the puck.
