Woll was terrific this game. He looks so poised, tracks the puck well, and is quite athletic. Great games by Nylander, McCabe, and ROR. Supporting cast was very good. Knies looked better. Very smart player.

Rielly, Holl and Brodie were not very good. The reffing was an absolute joke. Call ticky tack cross checks and interferences but then Bunting is cross checked hard and he was called for a roughing penalty in a scrum when he didn’t do anything. Dubas has to address this bias against Bunting. It might cost us in the playoffs.

is Knies the Leaf’s best left winger ?

Yea, the Bunting call was plain bizarre.

Tavares had two guys grabbing him and Bunting grabbed one of them in a scrum and the refs were getting it from the fans and picked on him.

The announcers were trying to make sense of the officiating tonight and couldn't figure out a way to justify that level of stupid.

- You can see the value of trading for McCabe + ROR in this game. They were unreal down the stretch
- Joseph Woll is really good, I'm happy going with him as the backup in the playoffs
- I really liked Knies - ROR - Nylander. Like a lot. I know it won't last but I kinda wish we could get an extended look at it
- This reffing is ass

And Schenn said, "Not while I'm on the ice!'

cooper is excuse guy after every loss against us lmao.
They dressed a full line up and players said they wanted to "send a message" in the pre game.

Say sike. That cannot be a real quote from Cooper LOL. This guy is such a loser, unreal  dressed his entire roster, had them out there playing like it was game 7 of the cup final, his stars were out for the entire last 3:30 to end the game, called a time out to rest them and run a 6 on 4 PP set up. A meaningless game, it made no difference to either team in the standings and they went all out trying to injure guys and even had his stars play the entire end of the game risking ijury.

Cooper and Tampa played their hearts out and lost to the Marlies, he always has some bullshit excuse after a loss. Clown.

Yes, we should totally write them off based on that game. :sarcasm: It was a gutsy win, but I'd suggest that's not Tampa's best game.

They played their absolute hardest, i'm not even kidding, they played harder tonight than they did the first 4 games of last years playoffs.

I see Cooper the Clown is up to his old tricks again, downplaying how bad his team actually was tonight and going with "no intensity"... Do most games with zero intensity have a scrum after almost every whistle?

Anyhow, thought Toronto was good for the roster they had tonight, Brick Woll stood tall and Knies looked to be getting more comfortable with every shift.

This team has me hooked in again.

By far my favourite game of the year !
Also one of my favourite in the last 5-6 years ..
Love the heart , imagine that Leafers .. Friggen heart !
When’s the last time any of us young and old have seen this type of heart and effort and balls and grit and finally a “ Team “ wow , everyone sticking up for each other , every single time !
These men that have joined our team have brought with them , leadership and guts and strength and passion for the Leaf again .
Gio
Caber
ROR
Schenn
Accairi
Lafferty
They have elevated the rest of this team to another level , a real Hockey team .
Look at the play lately and in this game from ZAR and KampF and TJ and even Our captain JT with his chirping the other day , he now can as the rest of the team has his back , each other’s, our elites can play a bit taller and bigger now knowing that .. it makes a huge difference, always has , always will.
Terrific work from Dubas and the rest of management for the trades .
Maybe to late ? I don’t know, I hope not ?
Either way I’m thrilled finally to be a fan of a honest working , playing for the that beautiful Leaf crest . Finally !
I absolutely Friggen hated to no end the bottom half of this team for years , especially in the Dubas era . Good for him for finally admitting his faults and going out and getting these players.
I wish the best for all those players that were traded and a couple more still to come , but I don’t miss them for a second . The lowest I’ve ever felt being a fan of this team was when JT our Captain getting roughed up, I couldn’t believe it , many times and no one came in , no one . I’ve never ever seen that in my life in any team watching playing anywhere !
I thought of Keon , Kennedy , Sittler , Armstrong , Clark , Gilmour , on and on and on , even Sundin , never did you ever witness that .
No more , bring in more men to play with our Elite young awesome players !
GLG !
Let’s win this shit !

Great game from every single player on the team and our young net-minder Joe Woll
Also ..
I was against playing Knies in the playoffs, I now think he should start in the top 6

Kucherov 21:07 TOI
Stamkos 22:47 TOI
Point 22:56 TOI
Hedman 23:18 TOI

Matthews 0:00 TOI
Marner 0:00 TOI

Cooper also started Vasi in a 'nothing' game and got max help from the refs

When you see stuff like this it makes you appreciate what a classy organization and group of stars we have. The team has to accomplish the goal of going deep in the playoffs but even if they don’t, things like this make me think we have to give them another chance next season. Forgiveness based on this good karma.
