45 saves from Samsonov last night, 46 saves from Woll tonight, absolutely incredible back to back performances.

The PK was also on point tonight 8/8 absolutely incredible.

Now don't do that again let's not make Samsonov make 55 saves against the Rangers Thursday.

That was a gutsy, gutsy win. Third string goalie in net, no Marner, Matthews or Gio and the refs basically against them the whole time. Plus Stammer's 1000th game. Boys bit down and got it done

Nice that we show some pushback and won't get bullied by these thugs. But we can't lower ourselves to their level and suddenly become a scrapping team after every whistle. It's not in our DNA, and we can't get sucked in to their thugery. Don't take any crap, and smother them with depth.

Also, think maybe after a 47 save game Woll is in their heads a bit after they got goalied? Luvit!

Personally, I love this kind of hockey, but like you said it isn't in our DNA and it feels like the Lightning are dictating this play style. Would also love it if they ran around accumulated penalties and we just played keep away and won the series that way.

Depends on the quality of course. Also, there will be tighter games come playoffs. More like the Bruins game. Players are just trying to avoid injury right now, fewer blocked shots, less sacrifice atm as an exampls.

Woll also played great and they had a lot inside too, but they were forced to shoot from far out for a lot of shots.

Playing 8 games in 13 days with shorthanded rosters is tough. Just digging in and finding ways to win. Not going to complain about shot counts.

Honestly I'm not even trolling, but they f***ing struggled that badly against this team without Marner/Matthews/Gio/Samsonov and a couple other NHL regulars. Like Tampa was playing like it was game 7 of the god damn cup final and just lost to that roster we iced and went 0/8 on the PP.

Yes, we should totally write them off based on that game. It was a gutsy win, but I'd suggest that's not Tampa's best game.
