Back to back, Timmins playing RW, ATO on the bench, resting top 2 forwards, key defenseman..Leafs beat them up, held on, stepped up in a game that didn’t mean much, but I think sent some important messages.

Great game by the trade deadline guys, Nylander stepped up, Tavares was engaged. Screw the refs what a mess. Still won.

Honestly I'm not even trolling, but they f***ing struggled that badly against this team without Marner/Matthews/Gio/Samsonov and a couple other NHL regulars. Like Tampa was playing like it was game 7 of the god damn cup final and just lost to that roster we iced and went 0/8 on the PP.

Nice win despite resting crucial players and a rough go from the refs. Woll excellent again, he’s been terrific all year, both in limited NHL games and more extensive AHL games. Great numbers and passes the eye test too. IMO he should be our #2 over Murray, he’s just looked better.

Woll *not being the* backup should be a non-starter at this point.
If Leafs dress Murray as backup at any point without injuries . . . Shanahan/Dubas should be fired on the spot.

Because I know who Keefe will want, he'll want the best man for the job like any good coach. That's just straight facts.
