So, asking for a friend . . .
we were missing our
- top C Matthews, last year's MVP and RR winner
- Marner, our top winger, top 10 player in the league
- Gio, our most experienced and trustworthy top 4 D
- our starting G Samsonov, with a solid rookie backup in net

Who was missing from the lineup for TB?
Nobody. They went at it.

Cooper dressed their strongest lineup.

The brick Woll is the backup for the playoffs. Feels good to get this one over a team your going against in a week. Didn't even have our best guys and still got it done.

Deadline acquisitions show strong tonight.

Woll showing he can be an NHL keeper .. what a great performance. He looks very calm and poised in net from what I saw in the third. That was a hostile environment

Tampa is dirty though.. I missed a bunch of the game but some of those highlights. Perry's crosscheck on Bunting? Kucherov slew-footing?

And of course congrats to Knies on his first point. How did he look tonight?
May be the dirtiest team in the league. Nothing tough about their act, mostly p***y stuff.

Nice win despite resting crucial players and a rough go from the refs. Woll excellent again, he’s been terrific all year, both in limited NHL games and more extensive AHL games. Great numbers and passes the eye test too.

Even if Murray is healthy, Woll should be our #2 over Murray for the playoffs, he’s just looked better. Don’t f*** it up Keefe, just go with the best players, and right now that’s Woll over Murray.

and I should have put in there . . . we dressed an 8th defenceman . . . in our lineup . . . as a FORWARD for the FIRST TIME IN HIS CAREER !!!

It's a punchline to a joke I tell ya

but as much as we can celebrate, I really just celebrate the physical battles in this game; Schenn over Maroon and made him look weak and old (and he's not, he's a beast) and we out "old-skooled" the Bolts.
