I see Cooper the Clown is up to his old tricks again, downplaying how bad his team actually was tonight and going with "no intensity"... Do most games with zero intensity have a scrum after almost every whistle?

Anyhow, thought Toronto was good for the roster they had tonight, Brick Woll stood tall and Knies looked to be getting more comfortable with every shift.

This team has me hooked in again.

That moniker is so accurate for him. He really is annoying and some of his players have to be embarrassed for him. Haven't once in a playoff series even thought much of a coach one way or aother but Cooper seems like a greaseball.

The heart displayed by McCabe, ROR, and Acciari in what many would think is a meaningless game makes me believe this is a very different Leaf team going into the playoffs, one that is poised and equipped to win.

Went from not really wanting to watch this one to loving it. McCabe should have thrown on some pads. Love he will also stick up for his guys. May be the best addition since Brodie.

Personally, I love this kind of hockey, but like you said it isn't in our DNA and it feels like the Lightning are dictating this play style. Would also love it if they ran around accumulated penalties and we just played keep away and won the series that way.

We are the sens circa 2002-2006. A primarily skilled team, responsible defensively, with some grit on the side.

The leafs have a core of extremely talented and skilled players who are not physically nasty but are surrounded with players who can be gritty and physical. Our core 5 ain’t it but our depth(ror, McCabe, knies, acciari, lafferty, Schenn)is.

Remember the sens core of alfredsson/chara/redden/hossa. Not physical/gritty/intimidating (except charq I guess but chara in Ottawa wasnt as dominant as chara on the bruins). Their gritty supporting cast: mike fisher, Rob ray, shaun van Allen, Chris Neil, Anton volchenkov, dean mcammond etc, all were tough costumers.

Exactly, If you are going to buy round trip plane tickets, hotels you might as well just buy seats for a Leafs home game.

I did the Leafs game in TB as a kid too during March break. Given it's mid-April, it wouldn't surprise me if he's a Leaf fan who just lives in TB. It's not like there aren't many of those.

I had high hopes for Woll when we drafted him and during his years at BC, but I was losing hope given how his AHL career had been going up until this year. He looked phenomenal tonight and has looked good in pretty much all his appearances this year.

Nobody’s talking about this and to be fair I get it they have to get out of the 1st round first but home Ice against NJ and Carolina is a thing.

Great game by the Leafs...need to clamp down on those giveaways that led to goals...but these refs are corrupt...the media and Leafs organization as a whole need to call them out...gonna have the same issues in the playoffs just like last year with these officials...how many 5-on-3 powerplays are they gonna give the Lightning this year?

There's one like that in Toronto who's had three birthdays this year, all on Leafs home game dates. Impressive - I mean what are the odds?
