For now but let’s see come playoff time.

Leafs look different to me this season and I mean that in a totally positive way. :thumbu:
Just a theory , but facing adversity early seemed like the kick in the ass they needed to hit their ceiling. Last season they didn't need to break a sweat. Weak division or not, Leafs were simply too good to have 50% of their games against habs sens and canucks. It showed in the playoffs with zero killer instinct and lots of bad habits, and again to begin the season. It's like being able to bench 500 pounds but you get stuck in a gym that only allows you to bench 200. You're gonna start to suck.

I had zero doubts Leafs would go back to benching 500 pounds when they get back in their normal gym. 82 game season in Atlantic has always made them ready to go 7 hard games with the Bruins. They were under dogs too. I don't see them as underdogs to anyone anymore so hopefully this is the year we finally go on a deep run.

He's not washed up at all, he's just not elite (never has been, never will be)-He's an above average 2C on this team, who excels at winning puck battles in the O-zone, and has good hand-eye coordination in front BUT he's not overly fast, not the best defensively and he's not worth 11 million. I feel if he was making 7-7.5 million as opposed to 11 million, this conversation wouldnt be happening.

Solid road trip. Wednesday against the Avs will be a tough game. They have been on a roll lately as well.

Above average 2C that finishes top 15 in C scoring every year.

Really nice work to not fold during the Ducks final flurry/attempt to get back in the game. I have to admit that Clifford didn't look too, too bad on his line at all; he made a nice play to break up a good scoring opportunity. When Kase comes back, a decent enough player will have to be in the press box. Nothing wrong with some competition for spots and as long as everyone who sits gets rotated around a bit, we should be good.
