part of it is probably just regression to the mean but part of it is also a change in how the Leafs are playing. way more rebound goals, deflection goals, and goals where the goalie is screened. Haven't looked at stats, but that's how it seems from memory.

Great fun watching the Leafs these last 2 years. I'm really loving this tighter, defensive kind of playing, this season

Things got scrambly tonight, right after the Ducks goal, but Campbell did his thing. The team will learn from these moments and tighten things up on futur games (I hope)

Our defence has stopped the horrible reads and bad turnovers
Our forwards are scoring and still playing strong 2-way games

California trip, 15 goals for, 4 goals against. All six points. Great job, great result.

Simmonds played well, Clifford looked ok too. Kerfoot, Nylander, JT, Bunting, AM we’re all good. Campbell of course. D was mostly pretty good too.

Have to eliminate letting up with the lead. Killer instinct, but they held anyway.

I am not sold the let up. Every team is going to have their push and I thought the Leafs handled it well. Great 5 mins by Anaheim and I was nervous that if they got a second,, a third was sure to follow

this style of hockey is hockey Tavares flourishes in... the run and gun stuff wasnt imo. I feel like im watching the whole team play John Tavares hockey right now.
