So he's not good, but he's almost certainly better than graphs and analytics player cards indicate.

He was leading the charge for being bad defensively.

I like what the Leafs and Treliving have been doing. With Domi now along with Bertuzzi and Reaves we have a far grittier team. We need a solid dman and I think they are better off. Would have loved to keep Schenn and Aciari but Reeves, Bertuzzi and Domi I think we will be fine. Honestly glad to see Bunting gone.

I think this worst Dman thing is way overblown. He is not sign to play D, he is sign to speed up our attack from the backend and his slap shot on the PP.

Have to say congratulations to the Toronto Maple Leafs on getting Tyler Bertuzzi. 1 year 5.5 mil. With a stacked offensive team Leafs just got some more firepower. I am excited to see how well they do next season.

He’s a great player, but he can’t stay healthy. It’s almost a given he will miss anywhere from 10-30 games. With that said, if he’s healthy come playoff time, he’s worth it.

Why 1 year ? Why would Bert take 1 year and why would Leafs not want more term ??

It’s risky for him but could potentially really pay off… he’ll have ice time with Nylander, Tavares, Matthews, Marner depending on how Keefe shakes up the lines… if he pots 25-30 goals he’ll likely raise is market value for a nice long term deal…betting on himself… again very risky but could be beneficial for both parties
