This has gotta be the single dumbest thing I've seen in a while. All you had to do was skate it out. You were under no pressure.
Nurse was probably calling for itThis has gotta be the single dumbest thing I've seen in a while. All you had to do was skate it out. You were under no pressure.

This is why freeze frames are sometimes useless, Marner makes a slight move to his left like he will go for the up and quickly goes right, the defender can’t process it fast enough. He terrifies defenders because they know. This has gotta be the single dumbest thing I've seen in a while. All you had to do was skate it out. You were under no pressure.

I have said it before and I will continue to say. Draisaitl is far and away the least impressive superstar in the entire league. Like visually. You can't deny the production, but when he isn't putting up points....which is usually on the PP he is non existent and arguably a negative for the Oilers.
Draisaitl cheats on defense. If you bottle up their offense, he does not contribute. It is interesting because we often hear things like that but don't hear about forwards who cheat on offense to play D. That is why Marner is a force. He is involved on both ends of the ice. Few players show up at top 10 in points while crushing it on D.I have said it before and I will continue to say. Draisaitl is far and away the least impressive superstar in the entire league. I still don't know what McLeod was thinking but that Marner goal might have been the best goal I've ever seen scored by a Leaf. To make those moves in a phone booth, incredible. Btw, love Joe Bowen, he's got blue flowing through his veins.Man, that was fun.
Marner does these things all the time. He sucks the opposition into thinking he’s doing one thing and then anticipates their reaction to it and changes course before they know what happened.I still don't know what McLeod was thinking but that Marner goal might have been the best goal I've ever seen scored by a Leaf. LOL. I thought Bunting handled himself really well against Kane considering the size difference. Not sure if this is true or not, apparently Bunting asked Kane if he needed a loan LOL.
It's their identity.Love that Oilers fans are still whining on the main boards.
I really hammered on Marner when we lost against Montreal in the playoffs but what a joy it is to be able to watch him game in and game out the past few seasons. His vision is amazing, always a step ahead of everyone else and his takeaways and defence sublime.Marner does these things all the time. Jesus that goalElite night
Don't f*** with Marner
Even the production isn't quite as good as it looks at first glance. 42 goals looks awesome, but 27 of them are on the powerplay. He's truly great at letting McDavid skate around in the offensive zone on the powerplay and find him in good spots, but he's more of a beneficiary of a generational player than Oilers fans want to admit. When he's away from McDavid, he's a 2nd line center who gets outplayed and outscored by 2nd line competitionI have said it before and I will continue to say. As Joe Bowen said it was larceny. That Marner goal was filthy.
He asked Kane if he'd like to lay odds on who would win the tussle between them.LOL. I thought Bunting handled himself really well against Kane considering the size difference.
