He’d probably save a lot more faster if he simply had a good transfer window.
As had been said in other topics, it's very complicated now due to United being on the PSR limit. Need to sell people before buying. A lot of questionmarks how much United can change the squad and in what time frame. IF United can off load Rashford at a good price, Casemiro, likely loan Antony for one more season and hopefully see him value increase enough to get a good sale price next year, maybe that will leave room to do one or two "big" purchases in the summer window.

I mean all the "little things" that loose money, like high wages for the club ambassadors and what not. Plus how much Luke Shaw was abusing the free lunches at the canteen.
If he did not have a good understanding of the underlying financials of a business before he spent something lone 1.6 billion dollars than he’s one of the dumbest human beings alive.

He may not have known what a specific line item like “staff lunch” cost, but he sure as heck would know a ton of info and he also already owns a club so he would have the basis of being able to understand if United was way out of whack.

Well not all clubs have access to levers like Barcelona so they have to adjust with real world methods. I mean they're trying to get rid of the high wage players but it's those high wages, combined with poor on-field performances, that's making it hard to get rid off in way that doesn't end up penalizing them on PSR.
Maybe you should ... how much did they save on dieting their employees? How much of that will be reinvested in the squad? You are simply fooling yourself if you think this is even remotely acceptable or normal.

The problem was last Summer. Holding on to Ten Hag, bringing in Ashworth and then dumping him and bringing in players to support Ten Hag. What’s past is past and you can’t go back, but a lot of bad moves that were largely easy to see.

United's finances are at such poor situation that scraping the bottom of the barrel is necessary. And I mentioned before that all the cost cutting is worth about 25% of the losses.

But let's be reality here, where would you cut?

Get rid of dead weight players with big contracts. Then sign the following players on a free:

Van Dijk
Alexander-Arnold
Salah
Tah
Sane
Messi

Print Salah shirts like crazy and then do the same with Messi when he joins.

That garnacho sale might’ve helped you from becoming a soup kitchen.

Also if you are completely dependent on selling a Rashford, etc... maybe don't totally torpedo their perceived value before trying to sell. If you need to offload wages then don't overshoot and hold firm on your valuation when there's no real market, etc...

Jussi seems to think “but financials are bad” is an excuse for all this penny pinching but has very little to say about United continually spending like drunken sailors in the transfer market.

Decisions made by the new leaders over the summer cost them something like 20 million between the Dan Ashworth stuff and keeping ETH.

Yes, we know the Glazers were/are leeches, but that’s not a defense of the new guys acting like morons and wasting tens of millions while penny pinching on staff lunches.

If I ever sell my soul and own a big business. I’d hire him for my PR… it seems like he could use the job too.

You'd think they would be trying to upgrade their hospitality and staff morale to distract from how bad the club performances are.
Honestly they are probably glad if people are talking about this instead of the trash on the pitch
