Touchdown.

Coincidental minors can f*** right off. Bunting should have sat for the whole Kane thing which should have been called after five seconds and why does 34 go for the McDavid slash?
He didn't - he took a legitimate interference penalty first, then suckered McDavid into the slash.

Mitch Marner is absolutely a wizard, nothing but magic.

Have to give props to Auston Matthews as well. That stick lift on Nurse is what led to the go ahead goal, he also ends up getting the game-winning goal on the power-play.

Cookie showing the Oilers that he is absolutely the Cookie Monster. Please a rough game, works his ass off.

I like that he got two goals, but he easily could’ve had more. The hustle he gave on that one play which could’ve been a penalty shot is one of the many good things he did tonight.

Love how he stripped McDavid of the puck for the empty netter, that was the icing on the cookie cake.

If I do have a negative thing to say, it will be of Matt Murray’s performance. I realize he’s coming off injury and hasn’t played a lot in the last few months, but even as a whole, it’s just not good enough for a playoff type performance.

I suspect we won’t be seeing him in the playoffs unless there’s injury and no other options, he’ll be on the bench hopefully all of it.

Holl? I know he does some good things, but I will preach what most other fans do, I don’t want him here anymore, give me all of the preaching you want about stats and this and that, I think he sucks and you can’t change my mind.

Toronto is a fun team to watch offensively, but I don’t think they are good enough defensively, and in the net to go far in the playoffs, that may be negative to say, but I’m just going on based off of what I’ve seen the entire season as a whole thus far.

I will be more than happy to be proven wrong, it’s happened before, it’ll happen again, I’m sure.

Reilly contract is bad too.
No it's not. Rielly got less than market value and despite his defensive deficiencies he's still one of the best transition d-men in the game and is also excellent at creating and generating slot chances. The Leafs PP is also significantly worse without him, and he also tends to play well in the playoffs.

Marner turned the game around, Murray was terrible. Murray looks miserable behind his mask, the team doesnt believe in him from what I see. They play slightly harder for Samsonov. Hopefully politics dont play into who starts game 1 based on money earned. Its clear money is a main factor in throwing Reilly on the PP1 over and over again. Reilly is getting the puck and freezing, then with no deception passes the puck to the half wall, totally killing the PP. I can not recall Reilly ever outsmarting the high forwards and setting up any of the 4 all stars he plays with. Reilly cant even get a shot thru, has no concept of shooting just to mix things up etc. Reilly is the most over rated Leaf and is holding this team back with the role he is given.

Despite being far from great, Murray made a big save at 3-1. We might not have come back from 4-1.

Bunting finally made a contribution by getting Kane totally off his game. You'd think a veteran like Kane wouldn't fall for that. Guess he's not too bright.

Thought Kampf had an under-the-radar good game.

My pre-game prediction came oh so close:
I thought Kane was actually pretty good getting some 4 v 4, a coach probably loves that. And I think it was Kane trying to get any Leafs player riled up enough to take dual penalties to open the ice up for McD.

Kinda f'd how there was a slight brawl and no one got a penalty at one point. Strange reffing there.
