I beg to differ. Defense is the thing that can be taught, goal scoring not so much. Our team D sucks and I put that on coaching just like it was coaching the past few years that made our team D pretty good. I know Keefe has been there for both scenarios so what's the difference this year? Justin Holl? I seriously doubt that. Sure it starts with the goaltending and the crap goaltending affects our overall play and confidence. But seemingly having no plan to move a puck out of our zone falls on coaching.

Its not just Holl, Brodie and Giordano have declined significantly and our forward core has gotten weaker defensively. I agree that a coach can help a team's defensive structure, but they cannot make our blueline better than it is. Right now the Leafs d is slow and undersized and doesn't have the skill to offset either weakness.
