Sheldon is starting to just be Sheldon. It's a good thing, too. Sitting lazy Core Fore for shifts and the pp. Praising Rielly tonight. Swearing loudly and belittling crooked Refs. Maybe the man is shedding the fake politically correct demeanour that MLSE demands all of it's employees wear. Sheldon is being an authentic hockey guy now. Nothin' to lose. F*** Shanahan. F*** MLSE.

The fact he put Revo out for the last faceoff was the chefs kiss to Rielly's response to the classless puke.
Dubas would have scolded Keefe for that. It's too bad Keefe was hired under Dubas, because I feel he would have been a way harder coach that he has been to date. Better, dunno, but harder on the players for sure.
Might be impossible for him to be going forward because of the relationship that was built under Dubas. Unfortunate.
Reminds me a bit of Pat Quinn in that replay. That's where the comparison ends though. You can see his growth though, pressure and experience it turning him into what other NHL coaches are. Excellent that we were generous enough to out him through the school of hard knocks at the expense our teams success. Only our best roster dating back as far as anyone can remember. Thanks Dubas!

A slap shot from five feet out on an empty net by a guy who (now) has 9 career NHL goals on what is again one of the worst teams in the league? He's probably lucky it's the new NHL and all he got was a one-handed crosscheck. If that happened 40 years ago, the benches would have emptied and this guy would have been turtled on the ice while being pummeled by John Kordic.

"Can't see it less than 5 or 6". So, likely nearer to 10 is what I feel he's hinting at. Either way, the idea that they're all tugging the Leafs is silly.
That was the most hockey like reaction I've seen from this team in a very very long time. Makes me realize how much I hate this teams culture.
Grieg would never contemplate doing something like that with Clark in the building. Wendel would have sent him into cartoonland.

That would have been at minimum and line-clearing-brawl and probably a bench-clearing-brawl in the 70's and 80's, maybe even early 90's.
I can tell you I have done almost as much for less. Same intent, embarrass the opponent... f*** you sir. I bet he never does that again.
Giroux in the post game interview didn't say much, but you could tell he was not impressed by the classless play or the response.

Yea, I did seem him in the crowd looking somewhat less smiley holding onto someone lightly.
I guess because I am an emotional player, I feel that if you are not emotional you don't really care. Like, I am not sure any of this core actually hate losing. Rielly does. Other than that, it's just as you say, more or less indifferent.

MLSE really needs to just let this woke facade die. I hope they don't push for a Morgan Reilly apology tour. Just embrace the fact that you are a ruthless corporate entity that will stop at anything to win.... Embrace the fact that you are perceived as nothing more than a laughable bottomless piggy bank to the NHL and tell Bettman to f*** off.
...and people who have done the exact same thing since have received $5000 fines. f***ing fantastic job NHL.

I'm even older school than that. I would go after guys who "over-celebrated" goals - cup your ear after you score while taunting the crowd? Elbow to the head for you. Any kind of stupid, over-the-top goal celebration? Elbow to the head for you. Jump into the glass or pump your fist? No problem with that. But anything that resembles taunting gets an elbow to the head.
