Me when I see the leafs/buds are still lacking character, physicality, resilience, poise under pressure, grit and mental toughness again this year. It shouldn’t come from washed up goons/limited players like reaves but from your better younger players. They should set the example and take charge.

He has to be being told this. HAS to. He knows why he is here. He knows what he can and cannot do.

He loves fighting. He plays the role and embraces it with his shenanigans. He fought twice in the 1st two games (which we won) and then poooof. No more fighting.

If fighting is your one talent perhaps signing with a team that doesn't allow you to fight was a bad move

I will cheer for the Leafs always, no matter what, just like everyone that hangs out on these boards. This team is one of the most talented I’ve seen but hard to like for me unfortunately. I don’t even know who would be my favourite player on the team is. It was Kadri before he was traded because he had heart.

I miss Clark,Tucker, Roberts, Dougie, players that understand the word teammates. Until we get a player that plays with that kind of heart and passion I don’t see playoff success. Someone needs to drag these wimps into a battle and show them that you can battle back

It's going to take Brad 3 or 4 years to get his own culture into the organization. At the moment, we seem to be straddling in the middle.

I don’t mind Reilly and love the talent of Matthews and Nylander but Kadri is definitely the last leaf that I feel really cared about his teammates. I started really watching the leafs in 1987 because I loved how Clark played the game. We need a power forward that can play and fight but unfortunately they are few and far between anymore

He was a bad hire and still is. This has nothing to do with anyone but him.

I was told Nick Robertson was a 1st line LW who was better than Jason. You can't trust anyone nowadays.

Yep. As I've said for a few years now there needs to be a core shakeup.

I have no doubts they'll figure themselves out and get rolling. But the last few years have shown me that the regular season doesn't mean anything for this core group. Playoffs are what matters. But they don't inspire me much so far.
