Likely the best line mates he's ever had (not trying to offend)

Playing with Tavares and Nylander if the 3 click together could be very dangerous.

I thought they looked pretty decent tongiht?! Nylander was hoppin and Galy had no problem keeping up. Even JT was looking okay for the most part.

If he can mesh, man that would be the steal of the year for sure.

Haha he's talking like his supporters. What a clown.

This is exactly why I like Reimer more, even thou he was as equally as bad (maybe worse) then Fred he didn't fluff shit up like this. He would say the guys played great, I need to be better to help the team win. Fred never seems to own shit , with out adding crap like , the pucks found a way, blah blah blah.... Says he knows he's still capable of being good.... Like the old saying "Don't tell me about it, show me"

The past few games have been purely Andersen meltdowns, so it's hard to even be truly upset at any of the position players because their efforts have frankly been wasted. But I would like to see them just play a simpler, more urgent, crisply executed offensive game that isn't a skills competition.

I would also try Marner and Tavares, the Big 4 should be mixed and matched depending on situations.

1 of them was a Hutch meltdown.

The fact that he has the audacity to say "same goes for our team" like they didn't dominate the game. We gave up less than 20 shots and this guy out here talking about "same goes for our team". It's you Fred, you're the problem.
Agreed. He needs to own it that's pathetic to hear from him. Bad line toward his teammates that have had his back when he's cost them once again. Frederik Andersen is a problem.

We fans man. God bless us. We go into a week off on the worst skid of a season where we had some real hope after a great start. We go to work / school all week long just waiting to rinse that bad taste of defeat away. Friday comes and we're starved for a game. We sit down to watch with our favourite beverage. It's been worth the long week of no hockey. It's Leafs game day!

Then we get a goaltending performance like that.

As you were Leafs fans. Hey the vaccine is coming right?

Then shouldn't it have been reflected in a terrible position in the standings throughout? Until recently it was the opposite with a host of converts stating that Dubas and Co.'s cap allocation was appropriate. Were the Leafs getting away with a high powered offense or was it other teams' inability to contain it? The goal differential was healthy. With injuries there seems to be a correlation towards the correction.

Kappo Kahkonen and Kevin Lankinen and Semyon Varlamov aren't producing because of well balanced caps. Simply put, they're goalies who are healthy and playing well.

I think the problem and the solution at present is a simple one provided there are good options to choose from. Like a healthy Jack Campbell or a reinvigorated Veini Vehvilainen. Our problems today aren't the same as we've had historically. Our total personnel compliment is much better than in the past. We're facing different problems now that are being interpreted through old prescriptions.
Fans were fooled into thinking we were better then we actually are. We continually beat up on the weaker teams in a weak division and now we can’t even beat those weaker teams.
I hope I’m wrong but I just don’t see it with the cap allocation of this team

Hey Fred stopped the 2 shots he faced in the entire 3rd period and we still lost. Held Calgary to 2 shots and we still lost. its just bizarre.

Everyone from commentators to coaches to fans, have made never ending excuses as to why Andersen can't be a consistently good goalie for years now and its long past time that we stop this and simply accept that while it was worth a shot to trade for him that it hasn't worked out and he was never the answer.

Was he a solid goalie for alot of his time as a Leaf? Sure. Great goalie? NEVER. He might've had a few games or short stretches where he looked really good, but those instances were few and far in between.

If Campbell is healthy enough, its time to give him at least a few consecutive games and see how he looks while looking for a goalie to help our situation for this year and next year too when we should be running away from any idea of resigning Andersen for any price. I seriously don't want him back in net even for free.

Didn't he play with 1 of Crosby or Malkin in Pittsburgh?
Yea Geno is who he started with there...

I liked his game tonight though, maybe they should have used him over Rielly in that last formation with Rielly whiffing on the onetimer... he'd nail that home, that's what he is good at.

Yet Keefe was the one who played a terrible struggling Andersen tonight.
True but Campbell’s coming off an injury too. Personally I might have started Campbell tonight after making excuses about Freddie’s groin but no chance I pull him after making that decision and having Campbell come off an injury playing back to backs when last time he played off injury he went straight back to the shelf.

Galchenyuk looked great imo.

Another Habs fan rooting for Chucky - even if his success boosts our biggest rival. He's a good kid who used to be able to create offense out of dead plays - even when he had to play with some of our offensive black hole players. Hope he can get back to being a minimum 50 point player and pp gold from the right halfwall.

Almost makes you feel stupid (my personal feeling) for cheering for these guys, but I'll never stop.
