With due respect, you've obviously never coached a team of teenagers let alone professionals, and you haven't raised kids. You cannot make people do things - they must have what is called intrinsic motivation (look it up).

He'll probably miss the next game. We'll see if he misses more than that, but should play at some point on the road trip. Depends on if it is more serious than it looks.

We have Mete to come in and likely play RD with Sandin, and it will probably be good to have Holl play with Gio for a game.

No idea what else happens with the forward lines. Robertson wasn't saving us today unless he somehow makes us hit the net. They will work their ways out of it, but there will always be the concern about whether this happens again in the playoffs... Because without a doubt our guys are good enough to work their issues out, but the playoffs do not give you a ton of time to work them out and having our top line disappear for much of the first 4 games (and hardly looking better in preseason) is not anything a Cup team has to contend with... And no amount of trades, coaching, or lineup changes will do anything if those top guys can't figure out how to execute fundamentals.

We will go on a heater and all fall in love again, but something does feel off and this team looks as soft as it’s ever been, and that’s saying something.

Good job by the league looking for ways to reduce goals. That strategy should be highly beneficial.

Not worried, I'm just not. I wasn't worried after the first 7 games last season so I see no reason to be worried after only 4 games this season. I'll say now what I said then - this team will cruise to the playoffs and how they do there is how I will judge them. Play as well as they played last year in the 1st round against TB again and we'll more than likely finally win one round and who knows, maybe this is the year we win a few more rounds.

Shot Attempts were probably 60-25 by the end of the game
Actual shots didn't reflect that but SOG can be deceiving, but we still outshot them 3:2
60% on faceoffs
PP was 1/5, it can't be 50% every night.
PK wasn't good - fine
It took a real iffy reversal to prevent us from getting a point.
Would love to see the OZone Possession Time comparison between the two teams. I suspect the Leafs absolutely dominated that.

If you play that game 10 times Leafs will probably 7 of 10. Tough loss, look for some of the positives and move on.

Lol he coached an expansion team.

He coached the capitals to the cup.
They have done nothing since. He coached the Islanders to hugr success with a bunch of AHL players.
