At this point the underlying drama with Babs and all the conversation alone, along with performance right now. I would fire him at the latest g25. That's enough time to see what's going on.

we’ll be done if they wait that long. He’s lost and now he is calling out the players more. I almost said i hope we lose the next two so he is fired but thst wouldn’t be true ha. That would probably get their attention focused on them.

That said, i think we are going to lose to SJ and the Habs

I see guys like Muzzin, Andersen (and even Hutchinson last night), Kerfoot, Moore, Kapanen, Gauthier, Mikheyev and Timashov do their jobs....

The whole team doesn't need to play better.... its primarily those getting paid big bucks that need to play better....

I see it now and I'd fire him now. Of course I was ready to fire him in the spring so take that for FWIW. And of course it won't happen now because of optics, coach making too much money, Tavares out, a few other guys too, Freddie's SV% sucks etc, just too many straws to grasp on to for the moment. Now if JT comes back and we're still spinning our wheels a few weeks after that, then I could see it happening. So g25 might be about right, hope we're not 14 points behind Buffalo by then.

Funny thing really. Babs excuse has been ,'there isn't enough puck' ,but ,after watching the broons top line,they seem to have found a way to share the puck as arguably the most prolific line in hockey. Not sure what combo works for the Leafs,but there has to be one threesome in there somewhere that can be a bona-fide top line!

I completely agree. I think the Bruins top line is dangerous bc all three of them can score, pass and drive to the net. Something I think a combo of Matthews-JT and Willie/Marner can provide.

The leafs are too good on paper to be bad all season.

It certainly does make you question:

1. why our highest paid players fall short.

2. why we go into every season with very little improvement on the defense.

3. why team defense is so lacking (a teachable skill).

4.why our GM has designed this team so top heavy with 0 wiggle room for improvements (defense + back-up D + PK + toughness).

There is definitely a lack of comradery on the team that is concerning. No one sticks up for anyone other that Marincin evidently and it just seems like a collection of good players rather than a team.

Hard to say if that is because of such a big roster turnover this past year or just a general team culture thing. Not a good look regardless

We have moved beyond making hockey decisions and now its just about the higher ups keeping their jobs.
