Its a shame this kid is so young! Unless he can become a superstar and make our club before hes of legal age to drink, I dont see how he ends up a Devil
Never hurts to have young talent in the cupboard but he may be too young for our management team to wait for
Hes like another 3 seasons away at minimum from the NHL. Why would you even be concerned about losing him ?Its a shame this kid is so young! Unless he can become a superstar and make our club before hes of legal age to drink, I dont see how he ends up a Devil

Levi was in the Reinhart deal. But, perhaps exception to prove the rule. I can't think of any others.Goalie prospects don't have a ton of value and as far as I can recall never get traded unless they're basically ready for NHL action. I don't see him being dealt given how long NJ has looked for long-term stability in net.
Good call on Levi. And even then, he was dealt by an organization that still had one of the highest paid starters under contract for another 5 seasons in Bobrovsky and a former 1st round pick in Knight that had already made his NHL debut, so their goaltending was seemingly solidified long-term at that point…something that is unlikely to be the case with NJ in the next couple years.Levi was in the Reinhart deal. Thats a good point! I was moreso referring to his ability to find a spot with us than our desire to trade him; Id love to let him stew for however long he needsGoalie prospects don't have a ton of value and as far as I can recall never get traded unless they're basically ready for NHL action. Im not concerned about losing him, per-say! Im thinking that our management may go out and find a long-term solution before Yegorov can make a name for himself; if, of course, Nico Daws and company dont steal the show first!Hes like another 3 seasons away at minimum from the NHL. Daws or any other goalies in the system isn't getting a longterm deal. We have Markstrom for another year and if he can stay healthy I would think the Devils will offer him an extension for 1 or 2 years. That leaves the backup job open for Daws/Malek/Poulter to compete for while Yegorov is about to turn pro. The timeline makes sense for his career if he pans out.Thats a good point!
