I get it. Coach is easiest to replace. You can't get rid of the talent. But you can try with another coach. A lot of you know I'm not the biggest Babcock fan.Matthews and Marner are gonna have to face the questions when Babs is fired and they're suddenly scoring like McDavid and Draisatl
Who cares? Fire this coach, it's obvious the team no longer listens to him or respect what he has to say
But to see our high-end talent just tuning him out, not playing for the crest on front is very disappointing. Replacing Babcock is easy. But is that what we want to teach our young players? "If things don't go your way, or you don't believe in coach, just stop playing and we'll find someone else?"
What happens if they tune out the next coach in a few years? Get rid of him too?
Shanahan has to have a heart-to-heart with our key guys. He can get through to them. He's played the game.
I can't believe I'm defending Babcock a bit, but what these players are doing is not right. Really bad mentality. I liked Kerfoot's post game presser. That's what a pro sounds like. Anyway. We'll see what happens. I don't see them firing Babcock. Atleast not yet.
