Of course they gave him a higher pay cheque…….that’s what Dubas does.He wasn't let go. Leafs gave him a higher salary for the same position so he left.

They have a great draft record too.Carolina has had a great PK. They're a very smart organization that has been well coached.
They also don't want to pay their assistants very much. Good for us for stealing him.
Isn’t that what got Babcock roasted by the fanbase? Maybe he knew a thing or two?
He also lead the team to the bottom of the league before he was fired. He’s gone because he didn’t agree with Dubas and couldn’t accept that he wasn’t in charge.
I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same… if I was set for life and didn’t really need the job.

Maybe, the Leafs were in free fall.Yes, a few of the players tried to get him fired.

Yeah, I get it. The team was losing and you claim the players decided to get him fired.Because a few players were trying to get him fired....

You just said they were. " a few of the players tried to get him fired" No you are saying they weren't.They weren't trying.

That is your speculation? Is it based on a report that Red Wings veterans wanted to get Babcock fired in Detroit so you assume they did in Toronto? They were trying to get him fired by not trying during games.

No evidence though.
Not really, It could just be that Babcock was no longer affective. It is really not possible to tell whether it was the losing caused the players to lose faith in the coach, or the losing was a result of the players losing faith in the coach that caused the losing. It is like the proverbial chicken and egg scenario. If you're looking for a bar graph, no. If you're looking for indications, there were many.
I want the leafs to out perform their completionYou don't want the leafs to outspend their competition?
Hurricanes' assistant coach too... with the number of rumors surrounding Hamilton to the Leafs, it only makes sense to speak to someone with firsthand experience with him. Does he help with the PK too? Hurricanes have been 3rd and 4th best last two seasons.
Because a few players were trying to get him fired....
