I wanted somebody with some experience to calm his ass down when the stupidity comes a calling but it would seem we aren't doing that
This management team may be smart but they do seem to double down on the questionable stuff

That is your speculation? Is it based on a report that Red Wings veterans wanted to get Babcock fired in Detroit so you assume they did in Toronto?

Not really, It could just be that Babcock was no longer affective. It is really not possible to tell whether it was the losing caused the players to lose faith in the coach, or the losing was a result of the players losing faith in the coach that caused the losing. It is like the proverbial chicken and egg scenario.

Hamilton in, Rielly out, Hamilton shoots Right, Brodie shoots left, makes for a natural 1st pairing. Trading Morgan would give us a decent return, possible some better depth / prospects. If Foligno can get a first rounder, Morgan is worth that +.
Having the personnel that they're responsible for getting the best out of in open rebellion is not exactly a strong defense for a manager of people (what a coach ultimately is)
