It's not your choice that's bad... it's your stunning ability to turn two Dubas players great play, in a very good game, into a dig at Dubas. That you can do so on such a regular basis, is a testament to your commitment to negativity. :thumbu:

Fun game tonight.
I guess we will have to see what happens

I could and he has earned it but I don’t think he will get to stay at first. I think he is waiver exempt and will be sent back while they try to make something out of Malgin.
what do you think will happen?

I think he will be on the ice for opening night, and I don't believe he will be sent to the Marlies.. He is better than Malgin.... but I do like both.

No chance you say? wanna make a small bet with me, that Robertson is on the ice for game one of the season?
I was quoting another poster and referring to the fact that there was no chance of that poster not taking a shot at Dubas when talking about 2 players in competition even when it has nothing to do with the GM. Like every post.

I think both will make it - injuries dependent.

Posted this last week after reading all the negative posts on this board about Robertson. Didn’t think it would only take a week to change so many peoples minds.

Couldn't agree more. There weren't many of us that could see past the hate on Lilegren early on (including pretty much every media guy). Suddenly he is all right. Robertson had a very serious leg injury last year, yet came back and produced ppg in the AHL last year. How long did it take Stamkos to recover from that injury? Robertson has played roughly 60 games in total over the last few years. Yes, likely better to start the season in the AHL, but the kid is coming. He is too determined not to. Give the kid a break. Loves the game. Huge heart and will score lots of goals for this team.

You think there is room for both of them on the roster?

I don't think there is enough room for both of em to make it.. but I think of the two, Robertson is gonna make the team for sure.

Solid games by Robertson and Murray tonight, Kerfoot is still showing that he is a reliable swiss army knife for us.

I don't know how much Robertson can show that he should at least start the year on the Leafs, he's done what he's suppose to do and that's put up points and produce. There will be growing pains for him throughout the year but he's done what we have asked him to do.

I have always loved Lily and Robertson... I am willing to bet that Robtertson starts the season with the Leafs baby! he has taken that leap... He will be in the lineup on the 12th, book it!

Re the embellishmen: the Habs ran a pick play at the Leafs blueline on a rush when they already had an extra skater due to a delayed penalty. It really was a clear case of interference anyways but I guess Marner decided to help the refs to make the right decision by falling over rather easily. It was a bit iffy, in my judgment but, hey, I’m a Leaf’s fan.

I think they are both there come opening night, more due to injuries of Tavares, Engvall than anything else. Once both come back, you are probably right, though who sticks, really depends on how they both play until Tavares comes back. Roberston is very good, but then Malgin has been good too. If Malgin is that good, they might keep him up for a bit, and put Robertson back in the Marlies as he's waiver exempt. Then again, Robertson could keep playing as he has, and if so, it's pretty hard not to keep him up.

It sure is a good thing, that we've got a couple of players fighting for that last spot(s), playing so well though.

And if Robertson does make the team, it's because stupid Dubas is trying to showcase the prospect he drafted. f***ing Dubas
Stupid Dubas lost Malgin to waivers when it was plainly obvious that Robertson wasn't ready.

Great trade Dubas. Now there's nothing to show for trading away a superstar (Marchment).

Almost like they have their scripts prepared.

It will depend on if Engvall can start the season on time or not. I think both make it initially (w/Tavares and Engvall out) if that's the case.

Too bad the Leafs missed signing the kid on D playing for the Habs. Not even going to try to spell his name. Local kid who went undrafted. They could use that toughness on the backend. Big kid. Nasty.

Arber Xhekaj - Yes, it would be great to have a guy like that in the system.... Habs took a kind of nothing guy, someone who had 20 points in 114 AHL games, and hadn't played in a year... and invited him to rookie camp. He was 6'3", 200lbs at the time... he's grown since then, and grown as a player. He signed with them given the prior invite. Then again, even if we came calling, it would be tough for him to see a path to the NHL, where as there clearly is one with the Habs.

Happy Robertson's doing what he's doing. People were getting way too carried away with some of the takes on him last week. The kids got real talent, give him his opportunities.

I'm liking the idea of having Robertson in Matthews spot on PP2. That shot is absolutely lethal and will make that unit much more effective.
Justin Bourne said on the radio today he doesn’t want Robertson on the PP because all he does is shoot. I wish I wasn’t blocked by him on Twitter so I could tell him once again what a moron he is.
