And it seems like Vancouver is ground zero for this latest rash of positives, through Calgary. You just knew with the Leafs hanging around out there for days it was only a matter of time. These guys play hard and breathe heavy and get into scrums... there's no way NOT to get infected... if one person on either team has it, it becomes 10 then 20 in literally hours. Surprised there aren't more positives actually.

Yeah time for the players and owners to get together and put their foot down... cancel the Olympics, and use those 3 weeks to catch up on games, and shut it down right now until the New Year. Let the players go to their families for Christmas COVID FREE, instead of in hundreds of peoples faces breathing heavy, and taking home harm to their families. I realize there are always venue issues etc but with a 3 week window that should not be an issue. *edit - Just checked and I think it's only 2 weeks, Feb. 7 through Feb. 22, but still do-able.

I know the players really want to represent their country, I get it. But it just can't be realistic at this point. make the decision and shut it down! **edit - this season Olympic break may be a godsend. No other year would there be a *2 week window with no games scheduled. VERY easy to step back and help fix it, and not miss any games/revenue!

Talk about a whole new incarnation of reality TV. If things were getting dry as the years went on (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and so on...) then yeah I can see how complacency was becoming an issue. How else could they boost ratings? Hmmm... seems like they figured it out, no? A whole new dose of reality injected into all sports and not just sports but into everything

I'll bet ratings are destroying anything we've ever seen. Maybe not just on TV, but factor in all the website clicks, radio tune-ins and everything else and we have a whole new world of reality sports that we've never seen before. "Hey, tune in tomorrow's game to see which players can't play! But first, a message from our sponsor... "

I can click a youtube video which is apparently going to scare me straight to death with "BREAKING:" news on the next virus that's going to wipe us out... but before the video starts.. we have to watch a commercial on Corn Flakes...

The money being made from this thing is unprecedented and never before seen. Me simply typing out this message is contributing to this mess and is inevitably generating revenue for someone, so I am as guilty as anyone else for prolonging this. Trillions of dollars are circulating from all of this lol. This is a monolith business that didn't exist 2 years ago and now look. Money that was locked up in government and corporate accounts is now released and flowing into the bank accounts of those who are becoming millionaires and billionaires... I swear I feel like I'm the only one who can see this.. am I the only one with 0% fear? Still? Even after the announcement that we can all drop in to the freaking liquor store to grab a rapid test?

the only scary thing about any of this is that "they" can run this gig for as long as they like, and not a single one of us can do anything about it

Yeah sire, just noticed. He's been so much better this season (mayers that is.) He truly out there warrioring it up. Bruce has looked real cool too, handsome. He looks healthier even than during some seseasons sire. Interesting to see if we could put a stick or too to the high-flying canucks right now. I'ma see to it too lets go and invest! Hard

I’d honestly play both Center on their own lines and keep the shutdown line, give AM and WN 19 minutes each and give shutdown 15 and whatever the fourth line is, I’d give them 7ish minutes since two guys are gonna have to be double shifted with Clifford
