Bottom line. Money (can't refund TV money). As long as a team can ice most of their players, they will play. Unless cities can't keep it in check, they may have to go back to empty stadiums. If they close the border again, they'll need to get exemptions or they might have to bring back the Northern division (LOL). Leafs can them sleep walk their way into the playoffs.

I don't think you can change the divisions mid season

The vaccines don't stop transmission. It reduces viral load, by about half the time. And you should experience less severe symptoms. Positive test pre-vaccination shouldn't be looked at the same way as now. probably a good thing to get covid now after being vaxxed, so you can develop natural immun*ty

Yes for most you are bang on but there is a small portion of us who get it in our lungs and for those of us I don't think you would feel good about being scared for your life .. I have thrown with da toughest players to ever play in da game in junior and pro and I was never more scared when I could not breathe

Players with underlying health conditions (ex: Domi with diabetes) will have to be protected just in case; I have a feeling there is a hockey freeze coming soon.

That is the only prudent call for the league to make now. Even if players and coaches aren't at risk of serious illness, it's making a mockery of the game having teams play each other with shorthanded lineups.

Shut it down for a couple of weeks over the holidays, have the players commit to strict safety protocols with their families, and start fresh.

As some of you may know, I’m a Canucks fan from birth. Obviously I’m a very happy man with the dismissal of Benning and Green.

It’s been a rough patch the last few Seasons, cheering for losses as that seemed the only way to get the necessary changes. I am confident that many of you can relate to this internal conflict.

I post this as a Thank You to everyone here who has been supportive of the Change and happy for us. I know that your Board/Fanbase takes a lot of criticism for the aggressive/obnoxious takes of the marginalized few. HF Canucks has our own lunatic fringe, so I’m certainly not going to judge.

Rather, I’ve found your Board to be a very welcoming, open group who criticizes their own Team more than any outsider does.

All this being said, I believe in your Team & Organization. I remain convinced that your beloved Leafs are on the learning arc required for future success.

No, I cannot cheer for the Leafs against my Canucks but I’m hoping for a great game decided in OT so that both Teams get something for their effort.

In case I don’t make it back to another GDT in the next week, all the best to everyone here and your families. May we see a better 2022.

New NFL COVID rules allow faster player return nfl players can now come back and return to the game even if they give a positive test (traditional). They are using a new test that shows if he will then spread it or not. Read it up yourself sire. There is the link. Thats how they approach this.

Noting, preliminary studies suggest Omicron doesn't go deep into your lungs, like other variants, so it appears as though that wouldn't be an issue with most, outside of an additional infection.
