We've been relatively lucky up till now with COVID
Knew playing Edmonton would f*** us over
Shut'er down. Not only is it going to get out of control even further than it has, but the competitive integrity of these games are now becoming compromised with teams missing out on high end talent along with the depth of talent.
Oh boy, here we go.
As enjoyable as the win vs Edmonton was, I thought it was an unnecessary risk to play that game.
Let's hope this doesn't spiral out of control.
Yeah saw this coming. The Edmonton game should've been cancelled, bush league stuff by the NHL as usual. Hopefully everyone stays healthy and doesn't have any serious side-effects.
An uninfected team plays an infected team, and boom -- three days later both teams are infected.
Carolina infects Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
Edmonton infects Toronto.
Next victim, please!
Either that, or just shut every COVID-infected team down to prevent further transmission. That has my vote.
Shut down the teams that have recently played the COVID-infected teams, too, until, the incubation period for each team has passed and the whole team is in the clear.
That way, there might be a fighting chance of finishing a full season.
The way it's going now is short-sighted and foolish.
3,100+ cases in Ontario today, folks. Double that of last Friday, and probably half of that of next Friday.
Read it and weep.
