Typical Leafs giving up first NHL points and goals to rookies :sarcasm: Good for Durzi .. over PPG in the AHL this year. Perhaps the Kings have something with him. No idea on his defensive game though.

Went to bed after the second period. Watching that was fun. Leafs are due for a correction in their team shooting percentage, so hopefully we see more of these types of games soon.

The good: the Leafs dominance tonight

The bad: that boarding penalty on Matthews

The ugly: those Kings helmets. Who the hell in their right mind things that is a good look?

Went to bed after the 6th goal, I don't think I needed to watch that brutal beat down anymore. Great game all around. I loved Marners game, I dont think he registered a point but he was doing an amazing job on the PK and just all around. Still a little weak in puck battles but very impressed with him. Tavares looked like our best forward again, absolute monster in front of the net. And Sandin/Lily are looking fantastic, very happy with the effort.

Dear LA Fans,

Those chrome domes are your cross to bare. Good luck with trying to convince yourself that they look good.

Does it reflect the reality yet?

If anyone is wondering what's up with why I keep saying that, it's because, after the Leafs slow start, I said it was just a slump and it was only a matter of time-the next game, in fact-before Matthews started scoring and the Leafs would go on another long 10 game lossless streak or so like they have often done the last few years.

Some rando, think it was Canada4, then told me I was wrong and that this "does not reflect the reality", although he was just echoing the general fan sentiment at the time. What I have been doing since is poking fun at the nature of "fan rage".

The best thing ... scratch that, the only good thing ... about the Kings last night was their warm-up jerseys.

Good W. I only lasted 2 periods but figured they had it in the bag at 5-1... and it worked out.

Holl and Muzzin continue to look slow as molasses. Holl should never play infront of Liljegren or Dermott. Whatever was working last year with that pair... it isn't now. It's the only thing I'd say I noticed that wasn't great. I say it only because at least for me it was noticeable and Holl constantly gets beat to the outside and let's his man get away.

It's a 6-2 win so by no means do I want to pick it apart anymore then that. Even freaking Engvall scored. More of these games are welcomed.

Campbell played great again too

Not that it truly matters, but the Campbell trade was Campbell/Clifford for Trevor Moore and 2 picks.

Durzi and Grundstrom was for Muzzin.
To this point LA and Leafs have made great trade partners and honestly both teams have benefited. LA got younger, a few picks (that have worked out, see Bjornfot) and sold their backup who wouldn't play enough, while Toronto got their top4 D and starting G.

You could teeter either way on 'winners' but there really aren't any losers between the two.

Another solid W for the Leafs, at this point Ritchie can't buy a goal lol, should have one or two at least last night. Hopefully they give Kampf a few days off after that hit, seems like it just shook him and the Leafs didn't wanna risk putting him back into the line up.
