This is the year to tank. Trade for more firsts. Let's add 2-3 good prospects to our pool and retool around a younger core.

Not at all. Hes not a smart player and hes slow. Pretty hard to throw checks when you cant skate. Hes suited for a cycle game, not with speedy skilled forwards.
he went in the corner on the forecheck, and did not even use his body to try to get the puck... soft!

They aren't mentally weak. There's just too much pressure in Toronto, most players would have a hard time mentally in this environment. In order to succeed in Toronto the players have to be underdogs with nothing to lose and a desire to prove themselves - that's kind of what we were when the big 3 were on their ELCs. The fame and scrutiny and pressure that comes with a big contract in Toronto would probably be hard for 99% of players. There aren't many people like Doug Gilmour who can handle that.

We have a game down by two where our goalie let in two weak goals. It’s rattled the team. This team is not getting “blown up”

Bullshit narrative.

Players want the limelight in other sports... and in other sports the big markets win most of the championships.

It's a 100% bullshit narrative.

This doesn't work. Other big market teams in the other sports perform.

I know people here love Kampf but I am not a big fan

He's essentially another Mikaheyev. Except Mikaheyev does generate some chances
Being one dimensional rarely works out in today's NHL. You need to be able to contribute
