Errr, they drafted Seguin who I would put in a similar mode. They also had Kessel.

Boston has pure snipers too from time to time they have value.
Seguin and Kessel were highly rated draft picks while Cowan is a very mid. He couldn’t even make an impact a juniors and isn’t highly rated by anyone except for Leaf fans. Highly unlikely he is an impact player at the NHL level. I don’t see much that separates him from Robertson.

HELL YES. F**K BRAD FOR TRADING MINTEN AWAY FOR CARLO. NOT WORTH. Especially when you go on the Bruins board and they've been saying Carlo hasn't been good for a while. Lets hope that Carlo can find his game here, but trading Minten? That's just bad for Carlo and not someone better. I was just getting happy that Brad wasn't go do something dumb and then he does this. :shakehead :shakehead :shakehead
LMAOO I hope you're trolling us cause otherwise I'm worried about you. Worried that much about losing a future 3C in Minten? wow

Man, its one thing needing to upgrade, its another thing trading away 2 of your top 5 prospects, two firsts, WHILE not having one this year for a 3c and 4-5 Dman.

Treliving is definitely a terrible trade maker, we know this and should't be surprised.

I personally think Minten was the kind of player we will need for out top 9 in 2 years, and had some skills that could make him a solid 40-60 point player under the proper coaching.

Overall our team IS better, but at what cost....
This is why cap space is gold and the Leafs never have any because they overpaid for their core.

If you have Cap Space, you have currency.

Indeed he looked tired, but they’ll have him rest up and will be money come playoff time, of this I have no doubts……
I absolutely do. And he won't rest up, there's a heated race and tons of condensed games too come. It's hammer down.

What worries me for Toronto is the Bruins on their boards are celebrating this trade after complaining about Carlo's decrease in play all year long.
A) Bruins have been a train wreck all season long
B) Routinely paired with terrible D partners (similar to Riellys story)
C) Probably just needed a change of scenery
D) Has two potential D partners (Rielly or OEL)

None of this fixes our powerplay.
The horrendous pp coaching and unwillingness for the organization to fire those responsible into the sun will absolutely be a difference maker that sinks us when it matters. We're do horse-poop bad on the pp.
A good PK is more important than a good PP in the playoffs.
Dammit i need the final details before I leave the office and have to go home and deal with the kids and dinner
Bring home pizza.
