I really don't understand why this guys haven't been drafted. I was so impressed by him at the past world juniors. How can a guy like honka go so early and Aho not drafted in multiple drafts....

He was the #9 player in ISS rankings in his draft year, and then continued to progress in his draft +1,+2 seasons. The only plausible explanation for him neither being drafted nor invited to camp is that he isn't interested in the NHL. A mobile, smart, all situations defenseman with 142 SHL games under his belt a few days shy of his 21st birthday has no interest from NHL teams? It makes no sense.

Seems like a great fit for a team who doesn't have any defensemen prospects ready to come up since he is already 21. You figure what exactly do you have to lose using a mid round pick.

From my understanding because he plays in Europe, he still can be picked this draft as a 21 year old, I am not sure if that means people can sign him now or not

He'll have to go through the draft process one more time. If he goes undrafted, then he's fair game to be signed to an ELC.
