Canada should do the first ever intra-tournament rebuild in WJC history. Fire the GM and coach mid tournament
This is likely the biggest win in Latvian hockey. Period. They played out of their minds and deserve to celebrate.
Im a Canadian and am applauding them. That was a masterful goaltending effort from their goaltender.
2 goals on 22 shots is fine. Blame Canada for only getting 2 on 55 shots.Kudos to Latvia. Nothing much good to say about Canada’s performance tonight except the goaltending.
Who are those "best players"?Great job Latvia. Congrats on the huge win.
lol it really isn’t. They just chose to leave their best players at home.
They play Germany tomorrow, so depending on the result, not much.how much does tsn bash canada over next 2 days haha
In theory even Canada’s B team should be the favourite on paper. Regardless of the roster, I don’t understand what Hockey Canada sees in Dave Cameron after all these years.Great job Latvia. Congrats on the huge win.

You'd have to tune in to find out.how much does tsn bash canada over next 2 days haha
If anything this will add some needed interest and tension to a tournament that has been straight chalk so farI don’t know, TSN has a bit of an incestuous relationship with the WJC programme at Hockey Canada.
lol. “A black eye”. I love when people take things too seriously. Gold.I'm disgusted. This is a black eye on Canadian hockey. Canada got goalied for sure but stupid penalties cost Canada this game.

I don't think they looked like either. Just kind of ... 'there'They looked like anything but. They looked like a bunch of f***ing show ponies prancing around with no interest in grinding.
Whoever put the team together should be ashamed of themselves.
They already had their team made and left off guys that deserves to be there like Sennecke, Parekh and Yakemchuk. Michael Misa, Caleb Desnoyers, Michael Hage.
Does Latvia know it's not a medal game?
Jeez that celebration. They might not even advance.
