Kane is a full blown tumor at this point.
I think people are blowing it up a little bit now. He's had two off-ice incidents, both of which didn't come up with anything substantial... and there's nothing that indicates he's bad with his teammates in Buffalo or in the locker room.

The only thing we know for sure, is that he's involved with the wrong people off-ice and participating in activities unbecoming of a professional athlete.

I see a buyout coming.
He might have been good for 20 games last year but the circus that comes with him and the salary isn't worth it.

Kane's value is dropping fast. They're probably looking to recoup something before he is worthless

I doubt it. Kane does a lot more to help the Sabres on the ice than 99% of the offers ITT. If all other GMs want to do is try to buy low on him, I'd gladly keep Kane. I don't really care what he does in the off season and long as he's ready to focus once the season starts.

Alright I'll bite. What's the asking price for Kane?

Sad but the asking price is trouble. You hang around dogs you are going to get fleas. I am sure there are GM's out there who think they are the ones who can fix this man. Way to much drama here and it is only a matter of time before the crap hits the fan again.

It was a staggeringly bad trade.

But that said, Kane has value. He's not even close to a buyout candidate.

A top 4 LHD would be appropriate, with adders/cap dumps on either side as necessary.

The market on wingers is too saturated. I'm sure everyone will be coming back around to Buffalo if they strike out on the huge list of UFA options

Will gladly trade you Dan Girardi/Mark Staal for him.

Girardi or Nash. Not Staal.

Let me introduce you to Rick Nash and I'm going to hope Buffalo is on his list of 12.

Or pass to one of your prized rookies so he can net his first NHL hat trick.

The fact that we're praising him for making a pass that one time that 100% of NHL players make in that situation is telling.

He's got crap intelligence and does more to negate his linemates than anything. I watched him skate straight into his linemate, the puck carrier, like a 5 year old playing soccer and just running at the ball no matter what, way too much.

He's a high effort, physically gifted, 20 goal scorer who belongs on the third line.

Wait for Kane's contract to expire and then lose his phone number and his agent's phone number. If he phones you, tell him your money phone never rang once.

That's just a good example of Kane not only passing when EVERYONE says he's a shoot first, pass never player... but also an example of him being an unselfish player and thoughtful of his teammates... another criticism people have of him.

Don't blame me because Kane proved everyone wrong in one simple, memorable play. I've seen him pass plenty outside of that, to the point in which I assumed coaching must've "had a talk with him". A gifted, unselfish player, that by all accounts, gets along with his teammates in Buffalo and listens to his coaches? That had TWO incidents unrelated to hockey that NEVER actually amounted to anything? Get this tumor off the team!

Considering the much-publicized ousting in Winnipeg, it's not that far-fetched to suggest it.

I care what players do in the off season. Sportnet had the dirtbag P. Kane on today and they were fawning all over him. It makes me sick.

Actually, to be accurate, they traded Kane and went on an immediate run into the playoffs. The Jets followed that by dressing a bunch of kids at forward the next year and suffering a bit of a setback, as they expected. That then turned into luckily moving up 4 picks in the lottery and grabbing a potential superstar scorer. Hope that helps.

I got a great idea. Buffalo eats 1/2 of Kane's salary, Edmonton gives up their 2017 first... and then... there are unlimited conditional 2nd rounders from Buffalo.

Every time that Kane is accused of doing or saying something that isn't fitting of a PROFESSIONAL hockey player Buffalo coughs up another 2nd rounder.

Edmonton never needs to go into rebuild mode EVER again.

1 month into the season we'll have 50 years of 2nd rounders. :sarcasm: ;)

We lucked hard into getting that 2nd overall pick. Buffalo actively designed their team to be as bad as possible.

I don't remember that at all. His off ice antics was well documented

His off ice antics were well documented.

That didn't stop many from commenting or even writing articles that the problem was really with Winnipeg and not Kane though.

It was nonsense.

To be fair... that always read to me more like his teammates having a poor attitude and lashing at him childishly in regards to his lack of professionalism, which is obviously something to be noted, then him lashing out at them. But that's just my uninformed take on it.

He hasn't actually done anything to be a "bad teammate" in Buffalo on the ice, or in the locker room. And that's what really matters to me, as a Buffalo (and not a Jets) fan.

I cant see any team taking a chance. This kid is completely out of control

Teammates have despised the guy since his junior days in Vancouver
