He's pacing to finish as the second highest scoring rookie D in Habs history. He's already top 20 in points and top 10 in assists among dmen.

He needs only 20 points to catch up Subban's rookie season and has 2/3 of a season left to play.

That 8 million per will be a freaking bargain in no time.

That shift by Hutson in the 1st was incredible, doubly so by a rookie. Also his Brett Favre bomb to Gallagher from his own end was a thing of beauty.

The guy is so damn impressive. I'm not sure I've ever seen a player like this in my lifetime.

I've already said as such many times. I wasn't sure if his game would translate to the NHL, and was always extremely high on Struble since the day we drafted him.

Many teams passed on Hutson. The question marks were kind of serious. He already proved the doubters wrong. History is filled with great prospects that amount to nothing. But yeah, trading him would have been a costly mistake. I would have to pay the price for that.

How about we wait for one more year? I want to see him play 2 full season before we sign him for 8 years.

Needs to develop a proper shot. Without that he is essentially a one tier threat. Right now his shot is not NHL quality.

I love Hutson. I’m sure he will spend time this offseason working on it. Doesn’t need to become his main weapon, but he needs to be somewhat of a threat to shoot from the point or work on getting shots through more.
