We haven't seen benchwarmer in quite some time. Wonder if he'll respond.

One aspect of Hutson's game that is paying dividends for me is his influence on Matheson.
Matheson is playing better hockey in general and seems much better when muted on that right side for some reason.
I think understanding that he doesn't have to do it all on his own helps and I'm also sure the staff have asked him to be much more selective with his forays.
I'm never going to love Matheson but I can appreciate when he tries to keep his game simple and cuts down on boneheaded decisions.
Hopefully those two zingers against Boston are the last for a while.

i'd extend Hutson this offseason before his value goes up too much, 8 years x 8M-8.5M easy, his offense is a given but he also eats up minutes like nothing and has the ability to play in all situations

what honestly impresses me the most about his game is his defensive stick work, reminds me of Lidstrom to be honest

He's way better defensively than I expected, even in my most optimistic predictions. He's already good enough to play 20+ minutes a game without getting exposed, that's really saying something.

Guy is quite literally a real life anime character. He probably spent the last few weeks in a gravity chamber.

ya he's averaging 23 mins a game, some games easily 25-26 mins, his consistency in terms of playstyle is really impressive

we'll have to see him in game 80/playoffs down the line tho, he must put in an insane amount of cardio work in the offseason
